[Objective] Construct the database of the Jingpo population living in Yunnan Province, providing a data basis for the application of the Y chromosome in forensic medicine, exploring the origin of the Jingpo and the relationship with other ethnics.[Methods] Follow the principleofin-formedconsent, we collected 5ml venous blood sample of 218 Jingpo male with EDTA-Na2 to avoid cruor in Dehong Thai and Jingpo antonomous prefecture, Yunnan Province. The collection stricted accordance with the criteria (unrelated male individuals, Jingpo people within three generations, no blood lineage between individuals). The MassARRAY method is used to test the 43 Y-SNP loci, the AGCU Database Y24 kit and AGCU Y SUPP kit is used to test the 38 Y-STR loci of the 218 samples. The analysis was worked out with software Arleuin3.11, MEGA 4.0, SPSS 19.0, DISPAN and NETWORK 4.6.1.3.[Results] We got 43 Y-SNP loci and 38 Y-STR loci data and frequency of their haploid type. In the 218 individuals, there only observed the mutation on the main trunk D, C, F*, K*, N, O, the main trunk O included most of Jingpo, accounting for about 83.5% of the samples; there observed 186 haploid type of 38 Y-STR loci,19 of the 38 loci had a high frequency allele; the phylogenetic tree and the principal component two-dimensional analysis diagram based on the frequency of haploid D, D1, C, C3, F, G, J, K, N, O both showed that the most population clustered with the similar linguistic and geographical characteristics.[Conclusions] This study obtained the 43 Y-SNP loci and 38 Y-STR loci of 218 male Jingpo individuals in Yunnan Province; constructed the Y chromosome database of Yunnan Jingpo population; found there exist obvious Ychoromosoem differences between the south population and the north, and the population with the same phylum most have a nearer genetic distance; Y-SNP loci is more stable than Y-STR loci, and reflected the genetic distance between the populations better; proved that the jingpo may come from the ancient di-qiang population from the perspective of genetics.
