Objectives: The study is to research mental pressure, social supports, coping styles and influence factors of patients’ caregivers. It is also to determine the relationship between mental pressure, social supports, coping styles and influence factors.Methods: It is descriptive and non-experimental research, the selected respondents were family members of capitalize patients with craniocerebral injury in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jilin University and the Affiliated Hospital of Arabian University. It analyzed valid data by SPSS17.0 statistical software based on questionnaires including demographic data, CPSS, SSRS and SCSQ. It also conducted statistic analysis with methods including percentage, means, standard deviation, T test, ANOVA variance, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis.Results:(1) In the investigation, there are 275 respondents, where the people at the age of 26-40 are 43.6%; the Han nationality 74.2%; urban inhabitants 66.5%; the married 77.8%; the people with education below junior high school 45.5%.(2) The total scores of mental pressure, social support and coping style are 38.66±6.31, 30.52±4.58 and 37.81±12.00 respectively.(3) Social supports are obviously affected by their jobs, personal income, education degrees, disease understanding and payment methods. Different caregivers’age, income, education, patients’ age and payment methods cause different coping styles.(4) For cerebration injury patient caregivers, social and subjective supports had negative correlations with mental pressure and feelings of losing control respectively. Active response was negatively correlated with mental pressure. Inactive response has positive relations with mental pressure, tension and feelings of losing control.(5) Social supports and coping styles of cerebration injury patients’caregivers had a positive prediction effects on mental pressure.Conclusions:As far as craniocerebral injury patient caregivers are concerned, social supports, coping styles and mental pressure are in the middle level. Social supports and coping styles are closely related to mental pressure. Social supports, coping styles and mental pressure are correlative.
