Research On Screening Of Priority Pollutants Of The Potable Water Sources

With the progress of society and the development of economy and improvement of people’s living standards, the problems of drinking water quality safety attach more and more attention. It is a current research hotspot how to control the water pollution index and ensure the safety of water quality.The purpose of the paper is to obtain the list of priority pollutants of drinking water sources. After analyzing and screeninging of water quality standards and pollutant list at home and abroad, a general index listing of pollutant is established. The paper formulatates the pollutants screening principles and screening method.Then analyzes and screenings the pollutants, get priority control pollutants and establish a listing. According to the nature of the pollutants and use, the paper classifies the pollutants.based on get priority.The priority control pollutants listing.which can be applicable to potable water sources of different types of water pollution is get.(1) By retrieving water quality standards and pollutant list in developed or advanced countries (mainly the United States, Japan, Europe), get 65 lists. There are 19 water quality standards totally,7 of them are domestic,12are abroad;There are 46 important pollutant lists, half of them are domestic, and the other 23 are abroad. Domestic listings’ published departments includes environmental protection, the ministry of construction, ministry of health, ministry of water resources, the general administration of quality supervision and quarantine departments. The overseas listing are related to international organizations such as WHO, UNEP and IARC. To analyze 65 listing, mainly considering its authority, representativeness, pertinence and timeliness, get 22 lists which are included in range of the screening eventually. They are 2 domestic water quality standards,10 foreign water quality standards,1 domestic pollutants listing, and 9 pollutants listings abroad.(2) There are 2197 kinds of pollutants in 22 listings.632 kinds of pollutants are kept after repetitive checks, and establish a general index list. Then analyzes the pollutants in three aspects:the physical and chemical properties, frequency and the human body health hazard, finally make a comprehensive analysis. And 161 kinds of pollutants are included in the research. According to the features and sources of the pollutants, classify pollutants.build priority control pollutants listing which can be applicable to potable water sources of agricultural pollution, industrial pollution and domestic pollution.(3) The types of potable water source pollution can be divided into agricultural pollution type, industrial pollution type and domestic pollution type. Take a water source inYangzhou City for example, by statistics of pollution sources, then the pollution type is determined to agricultural pollution type with the help of pollution recognition software. By surveying, get 23 kinds of pollutants. According to the proportion of the amount of pollutants, application area, exposure parameters and potential harmfulness, establish priority monitoring parameter, calculate the priority monitoring parameters of 23 kinds of pollutants and sort. Then compare with priority control pollutants listing which can be applicable to potable water sources of agricultural pollution.17 kinds are determined the priority control pollutants.
