Objective: In this paper, through a retrospective analysis of Sudden Deafness, aimed at analysis the correlations between Sudden Deafness with different audiometric curves、TCM syndrome and curative effect, in order to provide a scientific basis for the pacification of Chinese medicine treatment of this disease. Methods: Conducted a data statistics for the cases, which were consistent with the standard of Sudden Deafness inclusion criteria. Including the courses of disease, types of audiometric curve, TCM syndrome, curative effect, etc. Conducted a integration analysis for the acquired data, and found the correlations between them. In order to analysis the correlations between Sudden Deafness with different audiometric curves、TCM syndrome and curative effect. Also analysis the influenced prognostic factors of Sudden Deafness. Results: 1.The curative effect of Sudden Deafness between different audiometric curves had significant difference(P<0.05): The rising audiometric curve had the best clinical curative effect, then the flat type, the worst is the decline type. 2.There were differences between the curative effect of different TCM syndromes: Syndrome of Kidney essence deficiency had poor curative effect compared with other types of syndrome. Its curative effect had no significant difference compared with syndrome of Qi and Blood deficiency, and syndrome of hyperactivity of Liver Yang(P>0.05). Its curative effect had significant difference compared with syndrome of Liver Fire flaring up, syndrome of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis and syndrome of stagnation of Phlegm Fire(P<0.05). 3.There were differences between the hearing threshold distribution of different TCM syndromes: Syndrome of Liver Fire flaring up, syndrome of stagnation of Phlegm Fire, syndrome of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis, syndrome of Qi and Blood deficiency, syndrome of Kidney essence deficiency and syndrome of hyperactivity of Liver Yang had different hearing loss degree. The hearing loss degree between them had significant difference(P<0.05). 4.There were correlations between Sudden Deafness with different audiometric curves、TCM syndrome and curative effect: For the rising audiometric curve, syndrome of Qi and Blood deficiency had the largest number of cases, and the best clinical curative effect. For the flat audiometric curve, syndrome of Liver Fire flaring up, syndrome of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis and syndrome of hyperactivity of Lver Yang had more cases, syndrome of stagnation of Phlegm Fire had the best clinical curative effect. For the decline type of audiometric curve, syndrome of Liver Fire flaring up and syndrome of hyperactivity of Liver Yang had more cases, syndrome of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis had the best clinical curative effect. No matter what type of audiometric curves, syndrome of Kidney essence deficiency had poor curative effect compared with other types of syndrome. 5.The patient’s age, degree of hearing loss, whether with vertigo and whether treatment timely were the influenced prognostic factors of Sudden Deafness. The younger, the more light degree of hearing loss, without vertigo and treatment timely had the better curative effect. Conversely, had the poor curative effect. Conclusion: 1.From the point of curative effect between different audiometric curves, the rising audiometric curve had the best clinical curative effect, then the flat type, the worst is the decline type. 2.In the seven types of TCM syndrome, syndrome of Kidney essence deficiency had the worst curative effect compared with other types of syndrome. 3. There were correlations between Sudden Deafness with different audiometric curves、TCM syndrome and curative effect. 4.There were significant differences between the hearing threshold distribution of different TCM syndromes. Overall, Most cases’ hearing loss degree were serious. 5.The patient’s age, degree of hearing loss, whether with vertigo and whether treatment timely were the influenced prognostic factors of Sudden Deafness.
