To Observe The Efficacy Of Tong Qiao Ding Chuan Decoctions For Acute Exacerbation Of Asthma.

Objective: To explore the mechanism of Tong Qiao Ding Chuan Decoctions by observing the efficacy of Tong Qiao Ding Chuan Decoctions for acute exacerbation of asthma.Methods: According to the inclusion criteria, 60 patients were randomly selected and divided into experimental and control groups. Each group consists of 30 people. The experimental group selected Tong Qiao Ding Chuan Decoctions and SYMBICORT TU RBUHALER(Budesonide and Formoterol Fum arate Powder for Inhalation), the control group using SYMBICORT TU RBUHALER(Budesonide and Formoterol Fum arate Powder for Inhalation), taking conventional dosage. The course of treatment last 4 weeks before and after treatment.Asthma Control Test(ACT) score changes,symptom score,peak expiratory flow(PEF) variation rate,peripheral blood eosinophils were observed before and after treatment. Evaluate the clinical efficacy between the two groups.Results: 1. Asthma Control Test(ACT) score: ACT score of experimental group and control group increased after treatment, which of the experimental group was significantly higher than control group(P <0.05) and statistically significant. 2. Peak expiratory flow(PEF) variation rate before and after treatment: The variability of peak expiratory flow rate of experimental group and the control group decrease before and after treatment, which of the experimental group was significantly higher(P <0.05), with statistical significance. 3. Eosinophil percentage before and after treatment: The percentage of eosinophils of experimental and control groups decreased before and after treatment, but no significant decline in the experimental group,(P <0.05), with statistical significance. 4. Symptoms Score: The symptom score was not significantly different before treatment between two groups. the experimental group was superior to the control group after treatment according to symptoms score with statistically significance(P <0.05).Conclusion: Tong Qiao Ding Chuan Decoctions showed great effecion in treating patients with acute exacerbation of asthma. Meanwhile,Tong Qiao Ding Chuan Decoctions can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs, improve the quality of life of patients and reduce the financial burden.
