Object To observe the clinical curative effect of FEI KE TING treatment on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Exploring its mechanism on antitussive, expectorant and antiasthmaticMethods Selecting the patients of AECOPD enrolled in the ward of respiratory department of Wuhan No.1 Hospital from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013. Applying the traditional Chinese medicine dialectical theory, screening 60 cases of the phlegm heat obstructing lung patients, and randomly divided into two groups, observation group and control group, each group have 30 cases. Control group treated with conventional western medicine, observation group with conventional western medicine and FEI KE TING. Recording patients’ TCM main symptom score, TCM secondary symptom score, tongue-pulse syndrome score, TCM symptom total score, value of FEV1 and FEV1/FVC, average hospitalization days and overall response rate in the time of pretherapy and post-treatment. Using SPSS 19.0 software to analyze the statistical difference between those observation indexes,P<0.05 was considered significant. Results The age distribution, gender differences, TCM main symptom distribution, TCM secondary symptom distribution and tongue-pulse syndrome score of control group and observation group in pretherpy have no statistical significance(P > 0.05). The two groups’ TCM main symptom of wheezing, cough, sputum, chest tightness have significantly improved after treatment, it is statistically significant. The TCM main syndrome score of wheezing, cough, sputum, chest tightness of two groups in the post-treatment have significant difference, and the observation group is significantly better than the control group. The TCM secondary symptom score, tongue-pulse syndrome score and TCM symptom total score is significantly different after treatment. The recovery of observation group’s pulmonary function is much better than control group after treatment, and have statistical difference. The observation group’s average hospitalization time is shorter than control group, differences have statistical significance. The overall response rate of observation group is 93.33%, and control group is 70%, it has statistical difference between two groups. Conclusion FEI KE TING has curative effects on wheezing, cough, sputum, chest tightness of AECOPD patients. |
