Clinical Observation On Functional Dyspepsia Treated By Acupuncture On Syndrome Differentiation And Investigatation 5- HT Of FD Rats With Disharmony Between Liver And Stomach Syndrome

Objective:Based on the clinical efficacy of treating functional dyspepsia by acupuncture with bianzhenglunzhi,we investigate the content of duodenum 5-HT of FD rats over animal experiment.Methods:This part includes clinical study and animal experiment.Clinical study: All of the 30 patients,diagnosed FD by the diagnostic criteria of RomeⅢ(2006), were out-patients of acupuncture clinic of Wuhan Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine.According to《Indigestion Chinese Medical Consensus Opinion》that formulated by the Chinese Medical Association in 2009,these patients were classified into disharmony between liver and stomach syndrome(13 cases),qi stagnation due to spleen deficiency syndrome(7 cases),spleen and stomach deficiency and cold syndrome(5 cases),spleen and stomach dampness-heat syndrome(5 cases).Acupuncture prescription are RN12,ST36(double),PC6(double);disharmony between liver and stomach syndrome with LR3,LR14;qi stagnation due to spleen deficiency syndrome with RN6,RN17;spleen and stomach deficiency and cold syndrome with RN6,RN8(moxibustion);spleen and stomach dampness-heat syndrome with ST44,SP9.30 minutes treated every day and 6 days continuous treatment made up onecourse,then stopped one day and turned to the next course.Measured them by Nepean Dyspepsia Index(NDI,Schedule I)before and after 2 courses treatment.Animal experiment:A total 30 SD rats were randomly divided into electro-acupuncture group(EA group),model group and blank group,each group with ten rats,males and females each one half.Using clip tail,tie and irregular feeding to establish the FD model rats with disharmony between liver and stomach syndrome.Until the behavior changes of FD rats,EA group took electro-acupuncture ST36 and LR3,while model group only modelled and blank group gived none intervenation.Treatment course was the same as clinical study.Measuring duodenum 5-HT content of all rats until 2 courses finished.Results:Clinical study:score of NDSI is lower after treated than untreated,the change between them has statistical significant(p<0.01).Acupuncture treatment can improve the quality of life,respecting in interference daily activities/work,knowledge/control and sleep(p<0.05). Animal experiment:5-HT in EA group is higher than model group,the difference between them is statistical significant(p<0.05),while there is no statistical significant between EA group and blank group(p>0.05).Conclusions:Clinical study:acupuncture treatment with bianzhenglunzhi,which can obviously improve early satiety, bloating,upper abdominal pain and other symptoms,has good effect on FD.And also it can improve emotional state,sleep and daily life,through which the quality of life is improved.Animal experiment:electro-acupuncture can increase the expression of 5-HT of FD rats,and the level is normal.According to the change of5-HT,we infer electro-acupuncture has effect on FD model rats may due to regulate gastrointestinal hormones levels.
