Objective: To assess the effect of acupuncture treatment of functional dyspepsiaMethod:Randomized controlled trials involving acupuncture for functionaldyspepsia.CNKI(1979-)、VIP（1979-）、CBM（1989-）、WANFANG Database（1998-）；Foreign database including PubMed（1966-）and EMbase（1980-），the deadline timefor retrieval is February,5,2013.The part of manual retrieval including <Theacupuncture study>(1985-2007.3),<Chinese acupuncture>(1990-2007.3),<journal of Shanghai acupuncture>(1982-2007.3),<the acupuncture clinicaljournal>(1990-2007.3),<the foreign medical intern>(1978-2007.3),<combinetraditional Chinese and western medicine in China digest magazine>(1995-2007.3),<journal of Chinese integrative medicine>(1981-2007.3),<the journal oftraditional Chinese medicine>(1955-2007.3) and traces the relatedliterature.Removing the literature is not related to the evaluation by makingexclusion criteria and included in standards. Then assessed the qualityaccording to Cochrane Handbook5.0. The Cochrane Collaboration’s RevMan5.0.software was used for data analyses.Results:A total of13trials involving1211patients were included. Summarizedfrom five aspects respectively:○1The overall efficiency: Meta analysis of theresults{OR=2.55，95%CI（1.75,3.71）}, So the results showed that acupunctureintervention therapy is superior to pure western medicine treatment to a certainextent; the simple acupuncture group{OR=3.46，95%CI（1.73,8.71）}; Acupuncturecombined with western medicine group{OR=2.32,95%CI（1.49,3.60）}, So thestatistical results indicate that acupuncture and acupuncture auxiliarytreatment of western medicine curative effect is better than simple westernmedicine treatment.○2.
