Clinical Study Of Jianpi Xiaoliu Formula On Treating Mid-late Stage Primary Liver Cancer

Objective To observe clinical effect of JianPi XiaoLiu Formula for treating mid-la te stage primary liver cancer. In order to provide further evidence for clinical applicati on and to add a new way and thought for the treatment of primary liver cancer in C hina.Methods We used to put 100 cases of advanced primary liver cancer patients wh o fit for standard from out-patient and hospitalized patients into control group and tr eatment group based on Random Number Table method. Each group has 50 patients. The patients from each group have undergone the same liver preservation and tumor reduction anti-symptomatic treatment (Chinese medicine combined with western medici ne) for 16 weeks. The drugs included Cinobufacini injection, Polyene phosphatidylcholi ne,Inosine and so on; And Jianpi Xiaoliu Formula was added to the treatment group. To observe and compare the changes of two groups of patients before and after treat ment by the tumor size, clinical symptoms, quality of life and the function of liver A LT, AST, TBIL.Results The patients in the treatment group after treatment, the tumor size were b etter than the control group, the difference has statistical significance (P<0.05); The im provement of two groups of clinical symptoms and treatment in different degree, but in the treatment group was better, the total improvement rate comparison, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The treatment group after treatment, the quality o f life score (KPS score) was obviously improved, the difference was statistically signif icant (P<0.05); Compared with the control group significant difference (P<0.05); The c omparison between the control groups before and after treatment, there was no signific ant difference (P>0.05); ALT、AST、TBIL decrease obviously after treatment and the differences are significant(P<0.01). The differences are also significant compared with control group(P<0.01). It is suggested that the therapeutic effect of Jianpi Xiaoliu For mula treatment group was better than that of drugs used in control group.Conclusion Jianpi Xiaoliu Formula can protect liver function, reduce the enzyme level, Inhibit of tumor growth.improve clinical symptoms and enhance quality of life.
