Objective:To observe the clinical effect, expression levels of immunoglobulin, c-reactive protein, platelet, erythrocyte sedimentation rate of oral combined with retention edema after Syndrome differentiation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and explore the mechanism of treating ulcerative colitis (UC) with these medicine from theoretical and clinical aspects.Method:60 cases of mild and moderate UC, divided into Damp heat type、Spleen deficiency and dampness heat type, Liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type by clinical symptoms, were treated with corresponding chinese traditional medicine combined with retention edema. The treatment period was 8 weeks. Observe the total scores of Chinese medicine symptom, efficacy of Chinese medicine symptom, endoscopic index, levels of immunoglobulin, c-reactive protein, platelet, erythrocyte sedimentation rate for statistical study.Results:(1) Scores of Chinese medicine symptom:After treatment, the scores were decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).(2)Analysis of the efficacy of Chinese medicine symptom:Total effective rate of Damp heat type was 92.3%, with 95.5% of Spleen deficiency and Dampness heat type and 91.7%of Liver stagnation and Spleen deficiency type.(3) The endoscopic check points of each group was significantly lower after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.01). (4) Scores of Sutherland DAI:The scores of all the types were significantly decreased after treatment compared with the scores before treatment(P<0.01).(5)The level of immunoglobulin:Comparison the level of immunoglobulin before and after treatment, IgG、IgA、IgM decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).(6) The level of C-reactive protein:Comparison the level of C-reactive protein before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(7) The platelet counts:Comparison the platelet counts before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). (8) The level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate:Comparison the level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).(9)Securityk analysis:There were no abnormal findings in electrocardiogram, liver and kidney function of all the patients. There were no severe adverse reactions in the course of treatment of in all three types. Conclusions:The oral combined with retention edema after Syndrome differentiation of TCM has obvious clinical curative effect, with rationality in theory and the feasibility of clinical. There were no severe adverse reactions in the course of treatment Long term treatment of the patients may be accepted easily. The treatment will effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of UC patients and reduce the pain of them.
