Purpose: Objective evaluation of Kuijie Kang retention enema in the treatmentof chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis clinical efficacy.Methods:By double blind and double modeling, randomly dividing78colitispatients who already registered in the Third Affiliated Hospital of LiaoningUniversity of Traditional Chinese Medicine from2010to2012into experimentgroup and control group which contain39people respectively.1) Experiment group:Kuijiekang80ml is used in retention enema at37℃once after defecation ineach evening;3Sulfasalazine enteric-coated tablet simulants per time and fourtimes per day.2) Control group:3Sulfasalazine enteric-coated tablet simulantsper time, four times per day; Kuijiekang simulant80ml is used in retentionenema at37℃once after defecation in each evening.Results:1. The overall effect rate of TCM syndrome in experiment group is100%,97.4%in control group. P>0.05. Statistically, two groups have no obvious differencein TCM syndrome effects and share similar outcome.2. The overall effect rate of mucous membrane is84.6%,79.5%in control group.P>0.05. This indicates that two groups have no distinctive effects in lesionof mucous membrane and share similar effects.3. By the comparison between two groups’general points of TCM syndrome beforeclinical treatment, statistical analysis result, P>0.05, indicates that theydo not have obvious difference in TCM syndrome.4. P<0.05, the differences in general points of TCM syndrome for two groups haveno statistical sense and prove that the treatment in both experiment group andcontrol group is effective. Conclusion:1. Kuijiekang with retention enema to ulcerative colitis holds similar effects,compared with Sulfasalazine enteric-coated tablets to ulcerative colitis.2. Without side effects, Kuijiekang with retention enema can make the medicinehave a efficient performance to chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis and canbe easily acceptable by patients.3. Kuijiekang with retention enema to chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitisis worth clinical promotion and further research.
