Background:hypertension, a kind of systemic disease featured with heightened systemic arterial pressure as the main clinical manifestations, is the most common chronic diseases, but also the most important risk factors of the heart, the main complications of which includes cerebrovascular disease, stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure and chronic kidney disease, etc. Hypertension not only has a high morbidity, mortality rate, but a serious drain on health care and social resources, resulting in a heavy burden to family and country. In recent years, it has been realized that hypertension is not a simple hemodynamic disorders; more than80%of hypertensive patients have one or more risk factors. For the treatment of hypertension should not be confined to lower blood pressure itself, but should focus on risk factors for integrated control. At home and abroad to study the risk factors of hypertension lot, some factors have been shown to become a recognized risk factor for hypertension; There exist a number of confounding factors that need to be further explored; Due to differences in geography, culture, and people in different countries, the geographical distribution of risk factors for hypertension are not the same; The study of influence on the personality of hypertension in terms of psychological factors is also less, especially the lack of study on personal behavior in line with the characteristics of the Chinese population.Chinese medicine to treat hypertension emphasizes "identified because of governance""dialectical theory of governance" and "disease differentiation rule" combined. Emphasis on the treatment of "medical treatment" and "people treatment" combined. In this study, we commit on the etiology of hypertension for the community-based population, to explore the risk factors of hypertension syndrome, and added the introduction of the five states of personality theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to explore TCM Psychology. Hoping to take advantage of the ideas of individualized treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, and deepen the understanding of the etiology of hypertension, then promote the individualized prevention and treatment. Objective:To study the risk factors of hypertension with lifestyle-related; With Chinese medicine theory and clinical experience as a guide to determine hypertension syndrome characteristics; To explore the personality traits with five-state personality theory and their relationship with the syndromes on community-based patients of hypertension; Ultimately to provide the scientific basis for the future hypertension prevention and control work in community. Methods:A community-population-based case-control study,550patients with hypertension extraction and matching550normotensive residents to investigate. Hypertension questionnaire prepared in accordance with previous studies on literature pathogenesis of hypertension, conducted by experts on the basis of the revised questionnaire and pre-experiments. Conducting research in the community and creating a database using multivariate logistic regression analysis to determine the risk factors for patients of hypertension in Qiaozi town community, and the five states personality traits, as well as characteristics syndromes. We can analyze the relationship between the three, and provide a scientific basis for Chinese medicine for the prevention and control of chronic diseases in the community.Results:1. Logistic regression multivariate analysis, BMI (Body Mass Index, BM1) increased, overweight and obesity, family history, daily consumption of vegetables and less, lack of physical exercise major risk factors (P<0.01).2. By age, gender stratification, the entire study factors by multivariate logistic regression analysis shows that family history and overweight are the common risk factors.3. In addition, the individual risk factors associated with elevated systolic blood pressure are age-growth, high oil intake, alcohol consumption, increased labor intensity and physical exercise are protective factors in systolic blood pressure; Eating more beans and grains is the individual protective factors of diastolic blood pressure.4. Using logistic regression analysis found that hyperactivity, kidney essence deficiency, bleeding resistance are major syndromes associated with hypertension alone (p<0.01, OR=18.096,12.257,10.200), followed by anger on the inflammation, phlegm resistance, Chong and Ren disorders, blood deficiency type,5. Five-state personality analysis showed that hypertension group and normal group in Five-state personality analysis shows the difference between Tya person, Sya person and Syi person was statistically significant (p<0.01); Tyi person, Yy person has no statistically significant (p>0.05); Multivariate analysis shows Sya people are at most risk of suffering from high blood pressure (p<0.01, OR=1.053).Conclusions:BMI, overweight and obesity, regular physical exercise, the amount of daily consumption of vegetables and the incidence of family history of hypertension had significant relationships. Genetic factors are inevitable innate factors of hypertension, but weight control is the key to the prevention of hypertension. Tya-type people, Sya-type people and Syi-type people in the five types of people suffering from hypertension relatively easy, but Sya-type people are at the greatest risk of hypertension. Hyperactivity, kidney essence deficiency, blood stasis is the major syndromes of chronic hypertension community, however, the process of hypertension have also involved other different factors, such as intermingled phlegm, congestion, Qi stagnation, etc. The syndrome is extremely complex, varied, thus, in the process of prevention and treatment of hypertension, doctors should pay attention to the complexity and particularity of hypertension syndromes.Otherwise, it is necessary to have "Five-state personality identification theory" and "Chinese medicine differential treatment " combined, and guide patients to improve biased personality and form a balanced diet, regular exercise and other healthy lifestyle, which can play a key role for the prevention and control of chronic diseases in the community. In this regard, patients can use music, qigong and other integrated relaxation therapies to recuperate emotion, also pay more attention to daily diet management; the doctor can treat patients according to differentiation syndromes in TCM. After all, we can prevent or control hypertension the occurrence and development from multiple perspectives and multiple means.
