Objective:To conclude the current study status of infant wheezer by the modern medical science and the TCM, through the retrospective analyses of the cases of infants with wheezing in instructor’s clinic, we studied the age distribution of their recovery or alleviating. It is useful to analyze the symptoms and rules of western medicine and TCM of that. It provides some possibilities to explore the use of TCM to predict the recovery or alleviating in the symptoms of wheezing infants. It can be the theoretical support for the clinical treatment of the disease. Methods:It can be classified as theoretical study and practical clinical treatment. For theoretical study, it consists of concluding of the present study of western medicine and TCM of infants wheezer, presenting the questions of it and providing basis of theoretical study. For the practical clinic treatment, it will get to the conclusion of using the statistical software to have the statistical distributions of its recovery or alleviating in all ages and being focused on analyzing the reasons for alleviating, disease characteristics, influencing factors, TCM distribution of the concentrated ages after typing the information into the computers through the retrospect analyses method which is based on data collected from clinical cases and determine cases of asthma predictive index for each, by way of phone calls interviews, recording the reasons for its case breathing and age, treatment, risk factors and current controlling situation(record cured age if patient has been cured),etc..Results:(1) Healing age mainly concentrated in the years were3years old,6~8years old,11~14years old age;(2)29.22%of the overall group have a positive asthma predictive index, and negative accounted for70.77%of overall in the healed group.9.42%of overall group have a negative asthma predictive index, and positive accounting for90.58%of overall group in the children with asthma. (3) The correlation analysis of Symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and the history of disease to the prognosis of infant wheezing:In the aspects such as the wheezed number after the first time, family history of asthma, inhaled allergy history, history of recurrent respiratory tract infections, wheeze and cough, sputum, sweat out, complexion, diet, defecate and urinate etc,.the P values was less than0.05by chi-square test.(4) The syndrome TCM:The TCM syndrome distribution gives a large proportion in the healed year. less than3years is the Lung spleen-deficiency type is to children younger than3years old. At the age of6or younger and y<8aged, the lung and spleen qi deficiency type and the spleen kidney Yang deficiency type are more related, respectively occupying37.61%and35.78%of the total number of cases. The Lung and kidney Yin deficiency type occupies26.61%of the total number of cases. The number of the spleen kidney Yang deficiency type is more, occupying38.28%of the total number of cases; and the lung and spleen qi deficiency type and The Lung and kidney Yin deficiency type are lesser, respectively occupying28.13%and33.59%of the total number of cases.(5) The analysis of the Different treatment methods to the infant wheezing prognosis, the P values was less than0.05by chi-square test. The Pairwise comparison between different treatment methods, the P values were all less than0.05expect the compared between the TCM treatment method with the treatment method combine traditional Chinese with western medicine. the P values was less than0.05by chi-square test between the whether the standard treatment.(6) The mainly alleviative reasons were symptomatic treatment in time and avoid the cold, accounting for96.18%and90.11%respectively.(7) Three treatments to alleviate the condition in general, analysis of variance, P>0.05, not statistically significant. Standard treatment with non-standardized comparison between treatment by independent sample t test analysis, P<0.05, statistically significant. Conclusions: (1) There is some correlation between the recovery of the disease and their ages, Mainly concentrated in3years,7years and13years;(2) Asthma Predictive Index has a high accuracy rate,it has a guiding significance for the infant wheezer’s prognosis.(3) It can be possible to predict the infants wheezer according to the clinical symptoms of TCM and the Asthma Predictive Index, which offer a reference to the clinical treatment combine the TCM and the Western medicine.(4) Chinese traditional treatment, the treatment combine traditional chinese medicine with western medicine and western medicine treatment in time are all effective to alleviate the disease, and the standard treatment is better than non-standard,it shows that symptomatic treatment in time and insist the long-term standard treatment are necessary.
