Medical curriculum system reform is the main task to medical education in this century, the key point of the medical education reform and development. In recent years, in order to adapt to the development of the society, the higher medical colleges and universities have conducted a series of reforms, have made greater achievements. But looked from the overall, more reforms were superficial, didn’t solve the practical problems existing in medical education fundamentally. In this paper, by way of case study, the Luzhou Medical College was chose as the research object, from the situation of preclinical medical courses of clinical medicine specialty in medical college, Combined with the medicine pattern transformation, the needs of the development of medical science and technology, medical and health system reform to cultivate medical talents for the21st century’s new requirements, we analyzed the situation of basic medical course in clinical medical specialty, the main problems and gaps, etc. So we raise optimizing the curriculum structure, building a new basic practical teaching mode.we explore for the reform of clinical medicine basic course of medical major undergraduate course of local medical college.In this paper, using literature data method, questionnaire method and comparative research methods, absorbing and referring from the research achievements of others, Combining with their years of experience in teaching practice, the basic medical courses in our school of clinical medicine specialty reform strategies were put forward as follows:①To promote the transformation of teachers’educational ideas, and strengthen the construction of teachers team.②To integrate scientific, optimize course structure, and establish suitable for the requirements of the applied talents training course system.③To strengthen humanities education.④To strengthen the combination of basic and clinical, Early exposure to clinic and Actively explore the reform of teaching methods etc. These strategies would promote the development of local medical colleges so as to cultivate practical medical talents for the development of regional pharmaceutical and healthcare fields provide intellectual support.The author pays more attention to study curriculum reform of local higher medical college. With the popularization of higher education from elite education into the education phase, and great changes in subordinate relations and sponsorship in ordinary colleges, local medical colleges and universities has become the main part of Chinese higher medical education system. We currently pay less attention to local medical colleges and universities courses, and have a big gap compared with foreign curriculum reform. The author hopes that this paper can play a partial role in promoting the development of local medical colleges and universities to provide certain reference value. The deficiencies of this paper lie in no analysis of the characteristics of the local medical colleges and universities and no teasing out the cause of the poor local medical colleges and universities in the aspect of teaching reform.
