Objective:The essay is to evaluate the clinical effect and safety of Qiyirunzao tang in treating polymorphous light eruption, which is caused by spleen-deficiency and blood-dryness in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), through observing clinical effects.Methods:According to the standard of diagnosis inclusion and exclusion, we filtered out64patients which belong to spleen-deficiency and blood-dryness.64cases were divided into two groups randomly.32patients in the cure group, treated by Qiyirunzao tang.32patients in the control group, treated with "Compound Glycyrrhizin" tablets. Both of two groups with the Butyl Flufenamate Ointment for external use. and1week for1course of treatment, observation of two period of treatment, and after each treatment records before and after treatment of itching, and lesion area and lesion form integral, relapse, all dates analyzing with the software of SPSS17.0for windows.Results:After the end of treatment, Clinical observation show that the total effective rate of treatment group was87.50%, while the control group was73.33%. There was significant difference between two groups (p <0.05) from the total effective rata. Score after treatment in both groups showed some improvements, but the total effective rate in treatment group was significantly better than control group. Its efficacy was significantly better than the control group. Recurrence rate of the treatment group lower than the control group, no statistically significant differences between the two groups (p>0.05).Conclusion:Qiyirunzao tang is valid prescription to treat polymorphous light eruption, can significantly improve the patient’s clinical signs and symptoms. No significant adverse reactions.
