Objective: Retrospective analysis the spectrum of injury and disease to explore andmaster the special law of injury or death after strong earthquake. On the basis of what tocarry out the rapid assessment of quantity, type, injury and analysis the injury treatmentdemand in time. According to the results of evaluation and analysis to decide theconfiguration of medical treatment of people, goods, resource scientific and reasonable.Reduce the disability rate and mortality of the affected population effectively. Methods: Collect the cases of information from local hospitals reported to healthdepartment in Sichuan province, and from the relevant government departments, and fromthe state seismological bureau about Xingtai earthquake in1966, Tangshan earthquake in1976, Wenchuan earthquake in2008, Yushu earthquake in2010, and Lushan earthquake in2013. Comprehensive search the Chinese literature published from2000to2012with thekeywords of “earthquake, regularity of injury, regularity of disease” to subject terms fromCJFD, VIP database, CDDBFT and so on. Use the same method to search the Englishliterature. Contact with related authors and experts to add details for data analysis andrevaluation. Results: Totally more than30retrieved documents met the requirements. They wereinvolved provinces as Hebei, Sichuan and Qinghai. There were contained54severelyafflicted areas by State announced in the past. A total of100explore literature met therequirements. The data hint at different level that situation about the deaths causedearthquake, the number of injuries, the spectrum’s change of disease over time. Select to9retrieved documents and23explore literature according to a standard. As the cumulativestatistics showed that the earthquake injured60334people, in whom15735people dividedaccording to the injury type,13826people divided by injured area,6598people divide bythe injury classification,7442people sorted by age-sex composition. Through the analysisof data, the gender composition, age structure and different space distribution of injurypeople caused by earthquake are statistically significant different from each other to someextent(P<0.01). Conclusion: Civilian casualties caused by the strong earthquake had thecharacteristics of the injury quantity, complex type, badly wounded, the illness changesuddenly, high disability and mortality. The spectrum of disease was time history, thatreminder of surgeon is given priority to disaster area at early stage, the proportion ofphysician need match to surgeon interim, pay attention to monitoring of infectious diseasesand epidemiological investigation would be crucially in later period. Injured area apply tofactor of occur time, location, injury causes and so on. The state of an injury influenced byrescue efficiency that team and hospital. Women, children, the old man were weakness sothat be vulnerable from the catastrophe. It is important to cultivate the capacity of self andmutual medical aid, while the ability of emergency escape. Preclude formalism and put anend to the happening of fall damage or jumping. As of now, there is hardly epidemiologicalinvestigation and bulk research and analysis of the spectrum of disease after earthquakedisaster. Retrospective analysis of law is too simple. How to bring the management ability, technology, equipment of Chinese disaster rescue medicine in line with internationallycompatible, establish and improve the cases of statistical standardization, promote thedevelopment of information and communication technology, would be lay the foundationof accomplishment. Do our best to allocate resources reasonable publish the cooperationand combine air to sea according to grading treatment will be true.
