Objective:By the quality of life investigation of patients with the enterostomy in SipingCity, we made an comprehensive analysis on the influencing factors. which affectedtheir quality of life; we presented and made the comprehensive nursing strategies toimprove their self-care ability for the stomas, improve their quality of life, make thepatients with the enterostomy return society early, improve the service level of theenterostomy nursing and propose the theoretical foundation for the scientific nursingfor the patients with the enterostomy.Methods:The study made an investigation on102patients who had the enterostomy andmade the reexamination due to colorectal malignancy in Siping central peopie’shospital and the tumor hospital affiliated to Siping central people’s hospital form January2014to June2014. The data were collected by the method of questionnairesurvey.The main constitution parts of the questionnaire:(1)the social demographyfactor;(2)the collection of the clinical data;(3)the questionnaire survey about thequality of life of the stoma: the Quality of Life Questionnaire Core-30, QLQ-C30ofEuropean Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer,EORTC was taken;(4)the questionnaire about the social support for the patients with the enterostomy:the Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS)was taken;(5)the questionnaire about theself-care ability for the stomas. The researchers number the questionnaires, set up anEpiData database for the survey data with the double logging method and me thestatistical analysis with the SPSS17.0software. Results:1. There is statistical significance on the functional dimensions, body function,emotion function and the cognitive function. For the patients under44years old, thescores about body function and the cognitive function are higher than other twogroups; the group with the patients above60years old has the lowest scores, whichshowed the patients above60years old have poor body functions.2. There are differences among the study objects with different education background.The body function scores of patients with lower education level are lowest; thepatients with higher education have poor social functions. Among the study objects,about the economic income, there are distinct differences. The patients with highereducation have lower economic pressures and have better self-care abilities.3. The remarried patients have low scores on the role function.4. Compared with the patients with incomes exceeding RMB3,000, the patientswhose with incomes lesser than RMB1,500have distinct insomnia symptom andthe patients with incomes lesser than RMB1,500have greater economicpressures.5. On the aspects of body function, emotion function, cognitive function, socialfunction and overall physical condition, the patients with different post operationdurations have astatistical significance. The study objects with the post operationdurations above12months have highest scores and the study objects with the postoperation durations within90days have lowest scores on their body functions,emotion functions, cognitive functions, social functions.6. In the functional dimensions, the body function has a statistical significance. Thestudy objects who suffered from the stoma complication have the lower scores onthe body function than those patients who didn’t suffered from the stomacomplication.7. The study objects who have the guidance from the stoma therapist can acquirerelevant knowledge more conveniently and can get more professional knowledge,which can observably improve their self-care abilities. Conclusions:According to the criteria of incorporation and exclusion, the study made thedata collection and investigation to102patients with the enterostomy. The resultshowed: the patients with the enterostomy generally have lower living quality andthe influence factors to their living quality include the gender factor, the age factor,the post operation durations for the stoma, education background, financial situation,the medical insurance form and the guidance from the stoma therapist.Aimed at the relevant factors, according to the specific condition and the postoperation durations of the patient, the nursing should make the individual nursingmanagement, popularize the identification ways, prevention and the treatmentknowledge to the stoma complication, reduce occurrence rates of the stomacomplication and further improve the nursing intervention measurements such as therecovery guidance and the health education etc. We suggest relevant governmentdepartments accelerate the cultivation speed to the stoma therapists, improve thereimbursement rates of the stoma nursing materials, lower the financial burden of thepatients, improve their living quality, make the patients accept the stomas and returnto their normal life and work as soon as possible.
