Objective:The aim of the present study was to investigate and analyze the burden, anxiety, depression and resilience in primary caregivers of patients with gynecologic cancer(cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer), followed by identification oftheir influence factors. Therefore, the present study may provide theoretical basis forguidance towards the caregivers and establish foundation for further study of theburden in caregivers of patients with gynecologic cancer.Method:Descriptive research methods were used in this study.214caregivers and214patients cases of gynecological cancer from a tertiary hospital, dated from January2014to December2014were collected. All cases met the inclusion criteria. Generalinformation questionnaire, Caregiver Burden Scale (ZBI), Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS), Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Connor Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC) were used for evaluation. EpiData3.1software was used for establishingthe database and SPSS18.0software was used for data analysis..Results:1. Among the caregivers of the214patients,57.5%were male and42.5%werefemale.46%of the caregivers were spouses and42%were children.71%of thecaregivers had a medium or heavy burden. The rate of anxiety was13.1%and that ofdepression was16.8%.2.Health problems, anxiety and depression all had significant influences on theburden of caregivers (P<0.05). Health problems and major events within3monthshad significant influence on anxiety (P<0.05). Different places of residence had asignificant impact on caregivers depression (P<0.05).Different places of residence, health problems, major events within3months and having to take care of otherpatients all had significant influence on resilience score (P<0.05) 3.Multiple factors analysis showed that the influence factors of caregiverburden were health status and depression. The influence factor of caregiver anxietywas health status.4.By using Spearman relative analysis, we identified a positive correlationbetween anxiety, depression and burden; Correlation analysis showed no statisticalsignificance between resilience and burden (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. Caregivers of gynecological cancer patients have heavy levels of burden, anxiety and depression.2.The main factors affecting the caregiver burden are health problems anddepression. The influence factor of anxiety is health problems and that of resiliencyfactors are living In rural areas, health problems, major life stress events occurredwithin three months or having to take care of other patients.3.The heavier burdens of caregivers have, the higher levels of anxiety anddepression will be. In the high quality nursing service mode, the nursing serviceshould not be limited to cancer patients, their caregivers should also arouse theirattention. In the clinical nursing, to live in rural areas, poor health care, nursing staffshould provide more support and encouragement so as to relieve the heavy burden ofcaregivers, and psychological nursing should be strengthened in order to reduceanxiety, depression.
