Objective:Using echocardiography to obtain the underlying data of cardial configuration of thepatient with diabetes mellitus, combined with the relevant parameters to create ultrasonic datawarehouse of cardial configuration, using data mining techniques to establish ultrasound datamodel of cardial configuration with diabetes mellitus, reveal the preferred characteristics andvariation or trend of cardial configuration for diabetes mellitus. Methods: Select360cases of diabetes mellitus and150cases of healthy people, and record thesubjects’ height, weight and body surface area, the impact of factors such as gender, age, bloodpressure, heart rate, blood lipids, blood glucose and other physical indicators and indicators.Bytwo-dimensional echocardiography to measuring interventricular septal thickness, leftventricular posterior wall dimension, arch aorta, left ventricular mass, area and volume ofatrium and ventricular and so on. The combination of the indicators of cardiac configurationand physical indicators and the impact factors of indicators to establish ultrasound datawarehouse and data model of cardiac configuration. Accord to the size of the weightcoefficient of each index, optimized the characteristic indicators to reflect the change ofdiabetes mellitus cardiac configuration from the underlying data. Results: The establishment of ultrasound data warehouse and data model of cardialconfiguration with the normal human and diabetes mellitus, and draw trend graphs; analysisthe indicators and related factors of diabetes mellitus cardial configuration, according to thesize of the weight coefficient of each index, display the left atrial end-systolic anter-oposterior diameter, left atrial end-systolic area, left atrial end-systolic volume, left atrial volume index, the mass of left ventricular, left ventricular mass index, wall relative thickness, interventricularseptal thickness, left ventricular posterior wall dimension tend to change in diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: The left atrial end-systolic anter-oposterior diameter, left atrial end-systolic area, left atrial end-systolic volume, left atrial volume index, the mass of left ventricular, leftventricular mass index, wall relative thickness, interventricular septal thickness, left ventricularposterior wall dimension can be used as the characteristic indicators to reflect the change ofdiabetes mellitus cardial configuration, in order to achieve the dynamic monitor and mediumand long-term forecasts of cardial configuration with diabetes mellitus, and providedecision-support for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus.
