The Cost Estimation Of Basic Public Health Services In A City

Objective:In order to accelerate the healthy and sustainable development of community public health service, we calculate the cost of basic public health services in a city, to understand the cost of basic public health services and prediect its trends. We also further discuss the level of government funding for basic public health services and evaluate whether the government compensation is in place in order to reflect efficiency of community health service institutions. Some policy recommendations will be made to improve the city’s public health service expenditure and management policy to provide better decision-making basis.Methods:In field investigations were made in A and B community health service center of the city. During a period of8days,, the labor time of50different basic public health services terms were tested randomly, Microsoft Excel2007, SPSS16.0software were used for data statistics and analysisResults:The labor time, amount of services and health statistics data of41basic public health services were used to calculate the labor time standard deviation, single cost (including fixed cost, manpower cost and variable cost) and95%normal range, and basic public health services project cost in year2015and2020were prediected.Conclusion:With the deepening reform of the medical and health system and the implementation of the equalization of public health service, the amount of basic public health services grow significantly. The government should set a scientific and reasonable basic public health services, strengthen the standardization training, standardize services behavior, so as to improve the quality and efficiency of basic public health services. Scientific measurement on basic public health services project cost will provide great decision support for the government.
