Health Education Status And Health Promotion Strategies In Ningqiang County

With globalization, industrialization, accelerated aging process of population, as well asthe rapid development of economy and society today, human health is faced with variousthreats. New characteristics and problems of the occurrence and prevalence of infectiousdiseases emerge; the burden of disease caused by non-communicable chronic diseasesgradually increases; food safety issues have become increasingly prominent; healthyenvironment of the overall society is progressively deteriorating. The causes of theseproblems are numerous, but an important one is that people’s health knowledge is insufficient,sense of self-care is weak, and society as a whole shows relative indifference to health.Promote health education and health condition through dissemination of health-relatedinformation, mobilize the whole society to participate, create a social environment conduciveto health, enhance people’s health awareness in addition to self-care ability, and changeunhealthy behaviors and habits, for the purpose to prevent and control diseases, improve lifequality, and improve health literacy for all.Currently, health education has been listed as one of the eleven basic public healthservices, provided to all residents by the state for free. All places of the country havedeveloped a health education service specification, clearly stipulating the content and form ofthese services.However, considering the actual current operation of health education services inNingqiang County, a few problems still exist, including that the development of healtheducation services is restricted by local geography and the status quo of economic and socialdevelopment, health education lacks specific target, health education supply is decentralized,and health education does not cover the student group.Based on an in-depth analysis of current situation of health education services inNingqiang County, this paper analyzed the causes of these problems, and proposed to carryout localized health education accordingly; to improve the assessment system of healtheducation demand so that the services can have a definite target; to strengthen organizationcoordination in order to form resultant force for health education; and also to reinforcecountermeasures for health education at school in addition to corresponding safeguards.
