Objective:The needs of family members of patients with hemorrhagic stroke and influencing factors were investigated,and the relative correlation between the two was analyzed in order to provide a theoretical basis for familymembers of the patients, with the expectation to improve the ability to care for them and improve thequality of life for patients, thereby promote body recovery.Methods:Subjects: One hundred and fifty cases of hemorrhagic stroke patients’ family members inDepartment of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University.1. Research tool: General questionnaire and critical care family needs inventory (CCFNI) and Family ofCare and Rehabilitation Knowledge Needs Questionnaire.2.Implementation process: The Critical Care Family Needs Inventory (CCFNI)and Family of Care andRehabilitation Knowledge Needs Questionnaire were applied to investigate family members’ need ofpatients in Neurosurgical intensive care unit(NSICU) within72h and before discharge.All evaluation wasconducted by trained professionals.3. Statistical analysis: database was inputed by Epdate3.0, statistical analysis was processed by SPSS17.0software. All tests were double tailed test, P<0.05.Results:1. One hundred and seventy-one family members were accepted the survey and filled in the questionnaire,150questionnaires were applicable; the effective questionnaire recovery rate is93.17%.2. During hospitalization, family needs close degree from high to low were the condition guarantees aboutthe state of the illness, access to the information needs, the needs of patients, rehabilitation, nursing medicalsupport needs, and their own comfort needs. In hospitalized patients, patients with early family’s access toinformation, medical staff to support the needs of the scores was higher than the scores of patients beforedischarge; guarantee, its comfortable demand below before discharge. The main reason attributed to notmeet families within72h after admission, and the following larger the strangeness, helplessness, makepeople demand were significantly higher than those before discharge.3. Gender, age, culture degree, occupation status of the family members, style of medical payment, thefamily per capita income, health status, religious belief and The Glasgow Coma Scale whether living oraccompanying patients were associated with the family needs at early stage (P <0.05), variables such as family income, with or without accompanying patients, family members age and gender, religious beliefand outcome were included in the multiple linear stepwise regression analysis. Eight factors of familyneeds before patients leaved had influence on the population (P<0.05), analyzed by multiple linearstepwise regression. Whether living, family education and religious belief were analyzed.Conclusions:1. Family-members’ need of Hemorrhagic stroke patients early in the hospital at the assurance of thetreatments; information acquisition and needs of getting close to patients were significantly higher than thatpatients before leaved.2. The influencing factors about family-members’ need including family-members’ sex, age, educationbackground and style of medical payment.(P<0.05).3. Nurses should make efforts to satisfy different family-members’needs, improve the quality of individualnursing and achieve ideal coordination for the purpose of body recovery.4. GCS score in patients with low family want medical staff to get more support, sicker patients’ familymembers for their own comfort needs score low, close to the needs of patients scored higher.
