Objective:By systematic sorting and standardized clinical research, this paper aims to make an objective evaluation of clinical therapeutic effect and safety of the treatment of cold-type lumbar muscle strain with infrared moxibustion bed, so as to form technical specifications and provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of lumbar muscle strain with moxibustion. Methods:By parallel randomized control study, 60 cases of cold-dampness-type lumbar muscle strain were randomly and equally divided into a treatment group(treated with infrared moxibustion and traditional box moxibustion) and a control group(treated with traditional box moxibustion). Both groups were treated once a day, five times as a course. After two courses, a statistical induction was made for related observed data. The international general evaluation method M-JOA low back Pain scale and VAS method were used to evaluate the lumbar symptoms integrals of the two groups respectively before treatment and two courses after treatment, and a statistical analysis was performed, observing the improvement of neck symptoms of the two groups according score table for signs of patients with cold-dampness-type lumbar muscle strain and making a clinical effect assessment of the two groups after treatment according to Standards for Diagnosis and Efficacy in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Results:1. Comprehensive curative effect: In the treatment group, 21 cases were cured, 6 cases were markedly effective, and 1 case was effective, and 2 cases were ineffective, the recovery rate being 70% and the total efficiency being 93.33%; in the control group, 18 cases were cured, 2 cases were markedly effective, 2 cases were effective, and 8 cases were ineffective, the recovery rate being 60%, and the total effective rate being 73.33%. The difference of curative effect between the two groups, according to the statistical analysis, has statistical significance P=0.038(P<0.05). 2. Symptom and sign scores: The differences of M-JOA total score, VAS score and the sign scores of waist symptom within groups or between groups before and after treatment were statistically significant(P<0.01). Conclusion:1.Clinical symptoms such as waist pain of the two groups significantly improved after treatment.2.The treatment group was better than the control group after treatment on M-JOA, VAS and waist symptom scores.3.Infrared moxibustion had a better therapeutic effect than traditional box moxibustion in the treatment of cold-type lumbar muscle strain.4. It provided a new therapeutic schedule for the treatment of cold-type lumbar muscle strain, and also provided a new treatment idea for other types of lumbar muscle strain, which could be used as a major method in the clinical treatment of lumbar muscle strain.
