The Clinical Observation For The Catgut Implantation At Acupoint Treatment Of Irregular Menstrual Cycle

Objective:Through the observation of the clinical results of irregular menstrual cycle with catgut implantation at acupoint treatment,and to explore and discuss the objective evaluation of its effectiveness, to provide scientific and effective method of treatment for such patients.Method:We selected 63 patients with irregular menstrual cycle and split them at random into two groups,the treatment group(with catgut implantation at acupoint treatment),and the control group(with acupuncture treatment).We put 31 patients in the treatment group,and 32 patients in the control group.we treated them for 4 months.at the end of the treatment,we made comparative analysis of the clinlcal symptom score and the objective indicator. 2 months after the end of the treatment,we return visited all the patients for survey.all 2 groups of patients were given assessment of symptoms and judgement of the curative effect by the list of integrals of TCM symptom quantization of irregular menstrual cycle and determination of endometrial thickness at the beginning and the end of the treatment.we use this statistical software SPSS18.0 to analysis the experimental results of group within and between at the beginning and the end of treatment. Results:1. The total effective rate of treatment of the treatment group is 93.33%,and the control group is 90.00%,which shows no obvious difference(P>0.05). There are good curative effect on irregular menstrual cycle of both of the treatment methods,and no significant difference between them.2. After the treatment, The main menstruation symptoms(The menstrual cycle, menstrual period, menstrual volume, menstrual property) and the accompanying symptoms score of these two groups were relatively reduced,the comparison result within group shows obvious difference between before and after treatment(P≤0.01),the comparison result between group are not statistically significant. These two kinds of therapies can play a regulating menstruation patients, improve patient symptoms with the role of menstrual period.3. After the treatment,the score of the treatment group is slightly lower than the control group. This seems to explain that catgut implantation at acupoint treatment in improving patients’ menstruation and menstrual period with symptom curative effect may be better than acupuncture treatment etc. But because of the small of the test sample size, leading to the difference of data is too small, we still need to be further tested this for large sample test.4. After treatment, the average thickness of endometrium of two groups of patients was thicker, the difference between before and after treatment was obvious(P≤0.01). the comparison result between group shows no significant difference between the two treatment methods to improve the degree of uterine endometrium(P>0.05).5. The result of the return visit at 2 months after the end of treatment shows the score of the treatment group is lower than the control group,after Inspection, P≤0.05,the differences are statistically significant, we think that the treatment group is better at the long-term effects.Conclusion:1. The comparison results of treatments show that there are no obvious difference between catgut implantation at acupoint treatment and at acupuncture treatment, these two kinds of therapies are effective methods in the treatment of irregular menstrual cycle,both can improve the patients’ menstruation and associated symptoms, and can produce the positive influence on endometrial thickness, and can improve the patients with basal body temperature.2.The experimentation results shows though the comparison result between group are not statistically significant, but catgut implantation at acupoint treatment seems have more advantage in irregular menstrual cycle improvement.3. When analysis of the long-term effects, the score of treatment group is significantly lower than the control group, and statistical significance,we think that the catgut implantation at acupoint treatment is better than the acupuncture treatment on the long-term effects.4. In the actual operation, the catgut implantation at acupoint treatment has more advantage, it has the advantages of simple operation, short treatment time required, and long duration of action, compliance of patients is good,fits the fast and efficient way of life of people nowadays.5. Catgut implantation at acupoint treatment is a simple at operation with good curative effect, and no side effect,highly acceptable therapeutic tool.It regulating menstrual cycle efficaciously, improve other related symptoms.It is worthy of clinical use.
