Purpose: On the basic of traditional acupuncture treatment method and in consideration of the feature of modern society, this study selected liver meridian(LR) and spleen meridian(SP) as the main acu-points to improve the efficacy of simple obesity with the syndrome of Qi and blood stagnation. By observing and summarizing the results of this method of choosing acu-points and compared it with the general method which was focused on SP and stomach meridian(ST),find out the differences of the efficacy between the two methods, then try to make a scientific and objective judgment, in order to provide an effective method of acupuncture treatment for curing simple obesity.Methods: The totally 72 patients with the simple obesity with the syndrome of Qi and blood stagnation are divided into two acupuncture groups in a single-blind way randomly. The treatment group chose the acu-points of LR and SP while the control group chose the acu-points that commonly used in clinical,and then get a statistical results of efficacy.Results: According to the statistical results, both of the two teams can help to improve all of the observed indicators. Moreover, the efficacy of the treatment group on BMI,WC and WHR is more outstanding than the other groups(P﹤0.05 and P﹤0.001).The effective rate in compared group was 90.9%, while the treatment group was 72.7%,much higher than in the compared group. It shows that the efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than the compared group(P﹤0.05).Conclusion: Compared with the general method of choosing acu-points, the treatment group has obvious advantages on treating simple obesity with the syndrome of Qi and blood stagnation.
