| ObjectiveThis study selected the liver yang hyperactivity type migraine patients as the observation object, chose the blooding-letting combined with tianma gouteng drink oral as the therapy, took the Chinese medicine tianma gouteng drink oral as the control treatment.We compared the clinical effect of these two treatment for liver yang hyperactivity type migraine patientsMethodsIn this study,60 qualified patients were observed in this prospective randomized control trial. The same options were chosen. While the patients in study group treated with blooding-letting combined with tianma gouteng drink oral. The other group treated with only Chinese medicine tianma gouteng drink oral. after 1 courses of 2 week’s treatment, we recorded the VAS scores, headache symptoms clinical scores of these two groups. The results were statistical by SPSS9.0. According to the results data, we compared the clinical effect of the two groups of patients.Results1.The baseline information of the patients, such as gender, age, course of disease et al, was similar between the two groups.2. Immediate analgesic efficacy comparison:we compared the VAS scores of two groups before and after the 0.5h, and 2h of the treatment.before treatment, there was no significant difference of the VAS scores in the both groups (P>0.05). And after 0.5h,2h of treatment, the VAS score of two group were significantly decreased (P<0.05), the difference was statistical significance. Comparison between groups after 0.5h,2h of treatment, VAS score of the treatment group were less than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). That mean the treatment group and the control group can improve the clinical symptoms of migraine, but the treatment group’s clinical effect was better than the control group.3. Long term analgesic efficacy comparison:before treatment, the headache of migraine in both two groups (including the frequency of attacks, the pain degree, duration and associated symptoms) had no significant difference, P>0.05, it had clinical comparability. After a course of treatment, the headache score, frequency, pain degree, duration and associated symptom scores were significantly decreased than before the treatment, P<0.05, there was significant difference. After treatment,the pain intensity and duration scores in treatment group decreased significantly than the control group(P<0.01), while there was no significant difference in the frequency and the associated symptoms between the two groups (P>0.05). That means the treatment method of two groups both can effectively improve the patients of migraine attack frequency, the pain degree, duration and accompanied symptoms. And the improvement in frequency and associated symptoms, rather the effect of the two groups, but in improving pain intensity and duration, blooding letting combined with scientific Chinese medicine oral was better than scientific Chinese medicine oral.4.Clinical efficacy, in treatment group, clinical cure rate was 13.33%, effective rate is 33.33%, effective rate was 40%, total effective rate was 86.67%, while in control group, clinical cure rate was 6.67%, effective rate is 26.67%, effective rate was 43.33%, total effective rate was76.67%, the rate of recovery and clinical treatment were higher than the control group.ConclusionBoth Blooding letting combined with scientific Chinese medicine Tianma Gouteng drink orally and scientific Chinese medicine Tianma Gouteng drink oral treatment can improve the headache symptoms of migraine patients, reduce attack frequency, duration, reduce the headache degree and the associated symptoms. But blooding letting combined with scientific Chinese medicine Tianma Gouteng drink had batter clinical effect than simply scientific Chinese medicine.
