ObjectiveSeeking for treatment of acute idiopathic facial palsy effective and safe and can reduce the suffering of patients, this study comparison of distal needling combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture and distal needling treatment of acute idiopathic facial palsy of the efficacy. From this study, it can lead us to research the promoted value of distal needling combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture treatment of acute idiopathic facial palsy.Methods60 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. There were 30 patients each group. Patients in the treatment group which treated with distal needling combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture, and control group which treated by distal needling. The therapeutic effect was evaluated by House Brackmann(H-B) facial nerve function appraisal hierarchy system and Symptom integral standard. The changes of pathogenesis condition before acupuncture and after acupuncture were observed and recorded. Finally, used the SPSS17.0 software for statistical data analysis and conclusions.Results1) By means of statistical analysis, the basic information of the cases of the two groups before treatment (gender, age, diseased location, course of. the disease, House Brackmann(H-B) facial nerve function appraisal hierarchy system, Symptom integral standard) were no significantly different(P>0.05).2) In total effect respect, the total effective rate in the treatment group was 83.33%, the total effective rate in the control group was 73.33%. By means of rank sum test analysis, the total effective of the two groups were significantly different (P<0.05). It shows that distal needling combined with wrist-ankle acupuncture had better effects than the distal needling treatment of acute idiopathic facial palsy of the efficacy.3) In improve facial nerve function respect, the two groups were no significantly different before acupuncture(P>0.05); before acupuncture and after acupuncture of treatment group were significantly different (P<0.05); before acupuncture and after acupuncture of control group were significantly different (P<0.05). It shows that the two group can improve facial nerve function, the two groups were significantly different after acupuncture(P< 0.05); There was a significant difference (P<0.05) difference between the two groups before and after treatment. Tip After treatment, facial nerve function in patients with HB scale score were increased, but the treatment group compared with the control group was significantly increased integration, indicating the use of co-away portion waa effect of acupuncture treatment of acute idiopathic facial paralysis, facial nerve function improvement is better than the distal portion of acupoints acupuncture.4) In the overall improvement of clinical symptoms, the comparison, the total score of symptoms without treatment before the treatment group and the control group was significantly different (P> 0.05), comparable; before and after in the treatment group, the treatment group were significantly different (P<0.05) the control group was significantly different (P<0.05), the two groups showed clinical symptoms were improved. Between the treatment groups, a significant difference (P<0.05), described in the acute phase of idiopathic facial paralysis, using waa far from the Ministry of acupoints acupuncture combined overall improvement of clinical symptoms of idiopathic facial paralysis of better than the distal portion of acupoints acupuncture.5) In improving clinical symptoms of the components, the treatment group before and after treatment symptom score relatively components, the amount of muscle movement, opening and closing of the eyelids, nasolabial fold depth, movement towering nose, mouth askew, drum gills leak, food retention, tearing discomfort, before the next forehead, ear or mastoid pain symptom scores than before treatment, with significant differences (P<0.05).Show waa fit the distal portion of acupoints acupuncture can significantly improve the amount of muscle movement, eyelid opening and closing, nasolabial fold depth, towering nose movement, mouth askew, drum gills leak, food retention, tearing discomfort, lower forehead, ear mastoid pain or symptoms; symptom score before each component in the control group before and after treatment, the amount of muscle movement, opening and closing of the eyelids, nasolabial fold depth, movement towering nose, mouth askew, drum gills leak symptom scores than before treatment, with significant differences (P<0.05). The results showed that the distal portion of acupoints acupuncture can significantly improve the amount of muscle movement, opening and closing of the eyelids, nasolabial fold depth, movement towering nose, mouth askew, drum gills leak symptoms; compare symptom score of each component after treatment, both groups Symptoms of the opening and closing of the eyelids, mouth askew, drum gills leak, food retention, tearing discomfort, lower forehead, ear or mastoid pain, with a significant difference (P<0.05). The results showed that the distal portion together waa acupoints acupuncture in improving the opening and closing of the eyelids, mouth askew, drum gills leak, food retention, tearing discomfort, lower forehead, ear or mastoid pain symptoms, the effect is better than the the distal portion of acupoints acupuncture.ConclusionThe results of this study indicate that the acute phase of idiopathic facial paralysis, using waa together across the distal portion of acupoints acupuncture paralysis symptoms, improve facial nerve function and improve clinical, efficacy is far better than the Ministry of acupoints acupuncture and the distal portion of the more simple acupoints acupuncture more effective in improving the patient’s facial paralysis eyelid closure, mouth askew, drum gills leak, food retention, tearing discomfort, symptoms of lower forehead, ear or mastoid pain.
