ObjectiveTo study the prevention of eraly stage postoperative knee arthroscopic surgery by electroacupunctureearly.MethodsPatients with unilateral primary anterior cruciate ligament (anterior cruciate ligament, ACL) reconstruction and meniscus suture in November 2014 to February 2015 in the third orthopaedic of The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine were selected for clinical trials. On the basis of cases exclusioncriteria and cases-included, sorting 26 cases after ACL reconstruction and meniscus suture cases, randomly divided into treatment group and control group, electroacupuncture treatment for 14 cases of them, and the general rehabilitation training in the treatment of 12 cases of the control group. The injured on two groups of age and sex, the affected side, to theoperation time, preoperative thigh circumference atrophy, preoperative Lysholm knee scoredistribution analysised by chi-square test or t test, and consided that there are statistical differences if p<0.05.General rehabilitation training (control group) treatment as follows: rehabilitation training plans main reference No.3 Hospital of BeijingUniversity rehabilitati-on training in sports medicine research and combine the hospital characteristics such as physiotherapy, ice compress for the first and second days, taking NSAID orally, Shuangbai powder for external use, and joint aspiration with swelling patients. Because the intervention and index detection time is designed for-the initial 2 weeks after operation, we have strict standards for functional exercise. The main purpose is to improve muscle strength around the joints and prevent muscle atrophy by closed training. The training program includes ankle pump unit four quadriceps exercises, hamstring muscle isometric contraction exercises, straight leg raising anti gravity exercise, resistance clip, and split training. All exercises were performed under the protection of orthosis. The acupuncture treatment group (experimental group) therapy:A. acupuncture point:Xuehai, Liangqiu, Futu, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Jimen, all take a side; B. operation:In the supine position, patients’ acupoints were given routine disinfection of skin. To refer to cut into the acupuncture needle in depth of 1.5 to 2 inch. Properly lifting thrusting and twirling until gas, and connect the three group of electroacupuncture wire on the needle handle. The cathode and anode of the first groups are respectively connected with Xuehai and Liangqiu. The second groups are connected to Futu and Jimen. The third groups are respectively connected with Zusanli and Sanyinjiao. Output potentiometer is renewed to zero after turn on the power, and choice of rarefaction wave current, setting the frequency for 2-5Hz/seconds, strength to muscle gently beating and patients can tolerate. Treatment time is 25 minutes,3 times a week, and a total of two weeks. Then use the GraphPad prism 5 for statistical analysis. Using the t test to analyse the changes in the control group and the treatment group thigh circumference shrinking rate, and to verify whether there is a significant difference between two groups (p<0.05)ResultsElectroacupuncture treatment group and regular rehabilitation training in the treatment of control group in age, gender, injury to the ipsilateral, operation time, preoperativethigh circumference atrophy, preoperative Lysholm knee score was no significant difference comparable. Postoperatively, the treatment group’ diameter shrinkage rate decreased significantly than the control group.ConclusionElectroacupuncture can improve and prevent early stage quadriceps wasting after knee arthroscopy.
