Objective: Arthroscopic Meniscal Fastener(DePuy Mitck)suture of themeniscus body red - white border area, the red zone and the meniscus - theeffect of synovial margin tear injury and make a statistical analysis.Methods: By using a set of Meniscal Fastener (DePuy Mitck) wereobtained before and after meniscal repair were retrospectively reviewed theclinical data analysis.China-Japan Union Hospital in April 2009 on February-2010 diagnosed as a torn meniscus injury patients were screened,7 patientsmeet the inclusion criteria for the study .7 cases of 7 patients with meniscusinjury,5 males and 2 females;Age 12 to 28 years old, average 20.8 years old;Left knee in 4 cases, 3 cases of right knee;6 cases of medial meniscus, lateralmeniscus tear in 1 case;Meniscal tear in the meniscus body,Meniscus -synovial margin of injury in 1 case,4 cases of injury in the red zone,red -white junction injury in 2 cases.Course of 1-7 weeks, average 27.6 days(7days-49 days).Follow-up time of 12.2~21.6(17.1±3.5)months. 4 cases ofarticular cartilage injury, Outerbridge grading standards were less thanfour.Each patient before and after surgery rated Tegner and Lysholm kneescore which were internationally recognized. Data for each patient beforesurgery and postoperative data of its own statistical comparison. Statistical datawas analysised by software SPSS13.0, Paired samples t-test mean p <0.05was statistically significant.Results: All patients had no complications occurred early. All patientswere followed up after surgery. 2 patients for outpatient follow-up, 5 patientsreceived telephone follow-up.Follow-up time of 12.2 ~ 21.6 (17.1±3.5)months.As of this writing, all patients were followed up for knee stability, knee pain ,knee noose and other symptoms disappeared. After 8 weeks, full recoveryof range of knee motion. Lysholm score mproved from 47.00±8.72 minutesbefore surgery to f 91.71±3.68 minutes after surgery. There was a significantdifference (t = 12.73, p <0.05). Tegner score improved from 2.86±0.69minutes before surgery to 8.43±0.79 minutes after surgery. There was asignificant difference (t = 13.00, p <0.05).6 meniscus excellent efficacy,accounting for 85.71%; Meniscus good one, accounting for 14.29%; 100%excellent and good after surgery was.Conclusions: Arthroscopic Meniscal Fastener (DePuy Mitck) suturerepair torn meniscus injury in the body of a higher survival rate, simple andsafe in opertation,intraoperative and postoperative risk is low, short–termefficacy is satisfactory, 100% excellent and good rate. the clinical efficacy oflong-term treatment requires further observation...
