Objective:Chronotherapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a broad and profound knowledge. It consider the universe is a complex giant system, and the human body as a part of the system, is not an isolated, closed exist, but an open small complex system, influenced by various factors from the universe. "birth, growth, strength, aging, death" rules are generated in the comprehensive effect; when the effects of some factors on the human body is too strong, the body is prone to imbalance of Yin Yang and five elements, and is more prone to disease. Traditional Chinese medicine summarized this kind of pathogenic factors as "wind, cold, summer heat, wet, dry, fire", which is also known as six evils. The strength of the six evils go up and down routinely over time, and the "Inner Canon of Huangdi" explains this rule with the theory of "Five Elements’ Motion and Six Kinds of Natural Factors", this is also the earliest extant of TCM Chronotherapy. This study compared therapeutic effects of acupuncture plus time-dependent-acupoint-selection of moxibustion and simple acupuncture on post-stroke insomnia, in order to verify synergistic effect of acupoint selection of Moxibustion in the treatment of post stroke insomnia. I hope to clear the effect and advantage of time-dependent-acupoint-selection of moxibustion through the study, and to provide a reference basis for the application and popularization of this method in the clinical.Method:This study adopted the method of randomized controlled trials. The subjects were from the Acupuncture Department of Shenzhen Chinese Traditional Medical Hospital. The sample was 60 cases, using the SPSS17.0 software package to generate the random number table and using the method of sequential code, opaque, sealed envelopes to divide the subjects according to random ratio of 1:1, each group of 30 people, respectively, into the experimental group (Group A) and control group (Group B). Both groups were treated with conventional acupuncture treatment, while the treatment group using the method of traditional acupoint selection, plus moxibustion Yinlingquan(SP9), and the control group without any intervention therapy for insomnia. Treatment was used 1 times a day, five days per week,1 week to 1 course of treatment, and two courses in a row. After two weeks, using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and to provide clinical guidance "principle" of new drugs of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of insomnia in the efficacy evaluation criteria. Finally, compared the changes of the scales before and after treatment in both groups and between groups of subjects, analyzed the therapeutic effects of acupuncture plus time-dependent-acupoint-selection moxibustion of intervention after stroke insomnia, and verify the Synergistic effect of time-dependent-acupoint-selection moxibustion.Results:(1) Compared the baseline data in this study:gender, age, course of disease, before treatment PSQI scales, which had no significant difference (P> 0.05), and verified that the subjects in the two groups were comparable.(2)Compared the curative effect after treatment:after treatment, the PSQI index has improved markedly in both groups, with statistical significance (P< 0.01), which indicated the therapies of both groups has satisfying clinical curative effects.(3) Using rank sum test to compare the difference of PSQI score between Group A and B after treatment, there was a difference with statistically significance (P< 0.05), and the PSQI score of Group A decreased more than Group B, which indicated that both kinds of treatments have clinical curative effect, but Group A was better than Group B in improving PSQI scores. And this proved that time-dependent-acupoint-selection moxibustion has a certain synergistic action when combined with acupuncture treating post-stroke insomnia.Conclusion:(1)Acupuncture along has a good clinical curative effect on post-stroke insomnia, which can improve both the clinical symptoms and PSQI index.(2)Acupuncture combined with time-dependent-acupoint-selection moxibustion can further improve the PSQI score and improve the clinical curative effect on post-stroke insomnia.(3)Time-dependent-acupoint-selection moxibustion has a strong operability, which is worthy of clinical popularization.
