Investigation And Analysis On Demodex Infection In One Of Fuyang Vocational College Students

Objective:To find out the demodex mites infection of one Vocational College in Fuyang, and analyze the influential factors of the demodex mites infection, so as to provide a basis for the prevention of demodex mites infection in college.Method:Choosing one vocational and technical College’s freshman and sophomore in Fuyang, Anhui province, as the research object, by using random sampling method to examine demodex mite on 442 Vocational College students through the transparent adhesive tape method, at the same time, to investigate their personal habits, facial cleansing methods, health situation, skin types, and facial diseases by questionnaire.Results:Among 442 students in Fuyang Vocational and Technical College,86 students were examined as demodex mites infection patients, the total infection rate is 19.46%, pure hair follicle demodex mites infection ratio accounts for 82.56%, which is higher than that of simple sebaceous demodex mites infection and mixed infection; Cheek infection ratio is 23.26%, which is higher than that of nasal infection. The infection rate of those with facial diseases, such as acne, dermatitis, and folliculitis is as much as 25.70%, which is higher than those who have normal and healthy faces. Infection rate of students with oily skin is 27.94%, which is higher than those who have mixed skin and dry skin. In the infection degree,82.56% of the subjects are mild facial demodex infection. Chi square test analysis shows that factors such as skin type, facial diseases, detecting season are related to demodex mite infection. Binary Logistic regression analysis shows that, according to their influence (OR value), their order is:facial conditions, addresses, pets, skin care products, among which the facial disease situation is a dangerous factor of demodex mites infection.Conclusion:(1) The infection of demodex mites is closely related to skin types; (2) Demodex mites infection mainly occurs on cheeks (3) Demodex mites infection is associated with facial diseases (4) Demodex mites infection is related to seasonal temperature...
