Clinical Research On Acupuncture Treatment Of Tension-type Headache

Objective:Using acupuncture method to treat Tension-type headache, respectively established acupuncture treatment group and oral amitriptyline control group for observation, to compare the differences between the two groups of curative effect, to evaluate the clinical effect of acupuncture in the treatment of Tension-type headache,to explore a kind of new scheme acupuncture for the treatment of Tension-type headache that methods properly, acupuncture streamlining, reliable curative effect. It provides a new method for the clinical treatment of Tension-type headache, according to the inclusion criteria to select cases.Method: Using the way that is named random number table, 60 cases of patients which meet the diagnostic standard of Tension-type headache were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group had 30 cases. The treatment group using Horizontal Wrist and Vertical Finger Needling Manipulation to treat, the control group was treated by amitriptyline. After the 4 weeks treatment, respectively to compare the two groups patients’ symptoms, anxiety, depression scale scores and pain threshold that before and after treatment for statistical analysis, then to make evaluation the efficency.Result:(1) The basic information: The treatment group and the control group of patients before treatment, in comparison with age, sex, course of disease, symptom scores, total scores of symptoms, anxiety and depression scale scores and the pain threshold of basic and other basic information, all the results showed that no significant difference(P>0.05).(2) Each symptom score: After the treatment, the two groups of patients’ symptoms were significantly improved compared with before treatment, the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01), the treatment group in improving headache degree, headache frequency, duration, head and neck muscletenderness and insomniais superior to the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3) The total score of symptom: After the treatment, the total symptom score of two groups patients were significantly improved compared with before, the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01).The scores of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4) The curative effect of disease: After the treatment, the total effective rate of treatment group was 93.3%, markedly effective rate was 60.0%; The total effective rate of the control group was73.3%, markedly effective rate was 36.7%. Comparing the two groups patient’s efficacy, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), the results showed that the curative effect of treatment group was better than the control group.(5) The total score of anxiety scale: After the treatment, the anxiety scale scores of two groups patients were significantly improved compared with before treatment, the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01), but the treatment group and the control group had no significant difference(P>0.05).(6) The total score of depression scale: After the treatment, the depression scale scores of two groups patients were significantly improved compared with before treatment, the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01), and the treatment group improved significantly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(7) The pain threshold: After the treatment, the pain threshold of the two groups of patients were significantly improved than before treatment, the difference was highly statistically significant(P< 0.01), besides the first one treatment 40 minutes of, the control group, it had no significant difference(P>0.05). But the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, the difference was highly statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion: To observe and analysis the 60 cases of patients after the treatment, the result show that the treatment group and the control group by using the methods of treatment can improve clinical symptoms of patients with Tension-type headache, improve the anxiety and depression of the patients, and can improve the patient’s pain threshold. But the treatment between the two groups, the treatment group in improving headache degree, headache frequency, duration, head and neck muscle tenderness,insomnia, depression and improve the pain threshold of patients than the control group, indicating that indicating that acupuncture for the treatment of tension headache curative effect is good.
