Objective Human Immunodeficiency Virus or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, HIV/AIDS, has 7~10 years incubation periods and imperceptible generally. The oral manifestations of HIV are the first symptoms that could be easy to find. Thereby, pay a high attention on the oral manifestations of HIV could be early find, early diagnosis and early treatment. To reduce the opportunistic infections, extended the survival time, and improve the quality of life. But the incidences of oral manifestations of HIV were different which were influenced by many factors. This study was aimed to management the population distribution and influencing factors of oral manifestations of HIV in some province. To provide the scientific basis and resource for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oral manifestations of HIV.Methods A cross-sectional survey was progressed on some province 71 HIV/AIDS patients who were in custody among june to july on 2014. Oral lesions were diagnosed by a detailed physical examination, Demographic details, laboratory indexes, oral health maintenance and situations of HIV infected were collected by a questionnaire. The questionnaire was complied according to “the national information system of the prevention and control about AIDS-antiviral viral management ” and the World Health Organization(WHO) oral characterization of AIDS collaboration center in 1992 developed the classification and the diagnosis criteria of oral characterization of AIDS. Using Epi Data3.1 to double entry building database, statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS13.0 software, the use of means of qualitative description, single factor analysis between groups by chi-square test, using multivariable Logistic regressionanalysis on the influence factors of oral characterization of screening. A P-value of less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results Among the 71 male HIV/AIDS patients, the most of age was 30~50 years old(50,76.0%); The married or cohabitation were most 35(39.3%);The han nationalty were 43(60.6%);The household register of country were 58(81.7%);And 53 were accepting highly active antiretroviral therapy(HAART), 18 were not. The most mode of transmission was injected drug use(28,39.4%). The median of CD4 count was 279.00/mm3(IQR:263.00~409.00/mm3).Oral lesions of HIV/AIDS were not common, The median score of oral health maintenance was 8(IQR:7~9).There were 44 had oral lesions about HIV, 27 were not. The most common oral lesions were salivary gland disease and drug reaction, 31(43.7%). Followed by recurrent aphthous stomatitis 29(40.8%). Vision loss 23(32.4%). Infected by herpes virus 17(23.9%). The specificity ulcer and thrombocytopenic purpura both were 11(15.5%). But like oral candidiasis, hairy leukoplakia, specific periodontal which were closely related to HIV infected. The multivariate Logistic analysis showed that CD4+<350/mm3(Wald ??=?????, OR=??????, P≤0.01), The middle score of oral health(maintenance Wald ??=???????OR=?????, P≤0.05) and good(Wald ??=????????OR=?????, P≤0.01),and the infected period≥40months(Wald ??=?????, OR=???????P≤0.05) were significantly related to oral characterizations. Conclusion The higher the CD4 count, the better the oral health and the shorter the infected periods can lead the lower incidence of oral leisions. So we could improve the CD4 count and the oral health to prevent and reduce the incidence of oral lesions of HIV.
