ObjectiveTo monitor the cleaning effect of all kinds surgical instruments cleaned by automatic-rinser in central sterile supply department, find the influencing factor-s,compare eligible rates difference of different monitoring methods, and provide fundamental data for nosocomial infection control and prevention.Methods 医用剪刀、止血'类、骨穿'、镊子、其它管腔及其它非管腔类医疗器械Monitoring the cleaning effect of surgical instruments by naked-eye observation, magnifier observation from June to December in 2012,and ATP bioluminescence assay was used with the above two observation methods from 2013 to 2014;and the surgical instruments were surgical scissors, hemostatic forceps class, medullo-puncture needle,tweezers,hollow devices and other instruments that cleaned by automatic-rinser in central sterile supply departments of 2 sentine hospitals in Zhengzhou;Collecting the data by Excel and analyzing the data by SPSS 13.0.Results A total of 440 surgical instruments were both tested by naked-eye and magnifier observation in 2 hospitals, the eligible rate was 96.36% and 95.68%, respectively. 320 instruments were tested by ATP bioluminescence assay, the eligible rate was 87.81%. The range of eligible rate was from 50% to 100% among the different kinds of surgical instruments. Eligible rates of different p H detergent types weren’t all the same only by ATP method.and eligible rates were the same among the groups classified by storage time in a short period(5 min ~30min).The cleaning effect of surgical instruments cleaned by automatic-rinser in these 2 hospitals were the same and consistent with hospitals in other national provinces or cities. All of the eligible rates got by any of these methods in every year were not the same in 2 sentinel hospitals from 2012 to 2014. ATP bioluminescence assay could find the unqualified cleaning effect of surgical instruments when other observation methods couldn’t.ConclusionThis research showed that the cleaning effect of automatic-rinser was reliable after monitored by observation. Central sterile supply department(CSSD) should strengthen the management and monitor of automatic-rinser by using objective methods to ensure medical safety.
