ObjectiveTo observe chronic mental patients brain waves before and after the effect of music therapy, explore new ways of appropriate mental patient clinical psychotherapy.Methods(1) Literature research:using Chinese biomedical literature database (CBM), China journal full-text database (CNKI) and PubMed foreign language database, "Music therapy", "Chronic psychosis", "Electrical brain" as keywords to search, access to information related literature and academic papers. Using the method of literature in the literature retrieval and analysis in recent 10 years.(2)Scale method:through the designed questionnaire to obtain patient perceptions of music therapy, advice, record their feelings to participate in treatment. And using the brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS), daily life ability scale (ADL) were measured in patients with chronic schizophrenia.(3)The case interview method:in the process of music therapy was carried out on the part of the case interview record and finishing.(4) Statistical method:the patients were collected before and after treatment results of EEG data using spss 20.0 software to build database, using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and other statistical methods for processing.ResultsThis research shows that:(1)The experimental group and control group before the treatment, in comparison with the EEG data of the experimental group after treatment, a significant reduction in the amplitude of alpha, theta waves rise sharply, with statistical significance (P<0.05).(2)After treatment, the experimental group and control group in ADL scale "Cooking", "Medicine", "Dressing" score in significant difference for the project, with statistical significance (P<0.05).(3)After treatment, the experimental group and control group on "scale scores of the BPRS scale project score is extremely significant difference (P<0.01) and significant difference on" anxiety depression "project score, with statistical significance (P<0.05).(4)All the selected patients in BPRS total scores and ADL scores into significant positive correlation (r= 0.26); Alpha frequency and its amplitude, frequency of theta, theta waves of a significant negative correlation; Theta waves and beta waves of a significant positive correlation; Frequency of beta waves and beta bobo a significant positive correlation.ConclusionMusic therapy can regulate the body’s electrical activity and excitement levels, the brain is often in a particular state of brain waves. Helps with long-term chronic mental patients in hospital to relieve symptoms and restore social function.
