Clinical Rhsearch Of Neck Acupunctur Mainly In The Treatment Of Sudden Deafness

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of neck acupuncture combined with local acupuncture in the treatment of sudden deafness and explore the mechanism of this treatment further. To analyze relevant factors which affect clinical curative efficiency and develop optimal treatment of this disease.Methods: Selected 60 sudden deafness patients from January 2012 to June 2014 from the clinic of the acupuncture rehabilitation department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui university of Chinese medicine. The patients were randomly divided into the observation treatment group and the control treatment group, each group with 30 cases.The two groups both taked the Mikebao drug. On the basis of drug therapy, the observation treatment group was treated by neck acupuncture combined with local acupoints acupuncture therapy while the control treatment group was treated by traditional acupuncture therapy. Before and in the mid of treatment and after one-month treatment, pure tone audiometry, Transcranial Doppler(TCD) examination and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) were carried out on both groups.Results: 1. Treatment efficiency of the treatment group and the control group were respectively 92.85% and 72.41%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was better than control group.( P<0.05)2. In both treatment group and control group, there were significant differences in decibel value of the hearing loss between before treatment and after treatment.( P<0.05)There were significant differences in decibel value of the hearing loss between the treatment group and the control group.(P<0.05)3. In both treatment group and control group, there were significant differences in the results of TCD examination between before treatment and after treatment.( P<0.05)There were significant differences in the results of TCD examination between the treatment group and the control group.(P<0.05)4. The Self-rating Depression Scale grades of the two groups both decreased afterreatment, and there was a remarkable decrease in the treatment group compared with the control group.( P<0.05)Conclusions: The neck acupuncture combined with local acupuncture therapy has a remarkable curative effect on sudden deafness. This therapy can enhance patients’ audiometry hearing, improve vertebrobasilar blood mean velocity and adjust the depression and anxiety. The therapy of this topic is safe, significant effect and it’s worthy to be popularized and applied.
