With the increasingly demanding of the contemporary masses for medicine quality, we should promote the management of medicine inventory on the premise that medicine quality is ensured first. In addition, in the new Hospital Accounting System, the method of medicine accounting has been changed, which also requires that the reform regarding the drug inventory management should be proceeded continuously.SH outpatient department is featured on the "pure TCM diagnosis and treatment ", and all the drugs in the outpatient department are traditional Chinese medicinal materials while the inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials is relatively harder than that of Western medicine. According to the relevant statistics, it indicates that the backlogging problem of traditional Chinese medicinal materials of the SH outpatient department was severe from 2011 to 2013, and the technologies of computer information were not adopted in the inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials, which consumed excessive costs of human and management. In 2014, leadership of SH policlinic realized the disadvantages of traditional inventory management method of Chinese medicinal materials, and they planned to reform the previous inventory management method of traditional Chinese medicinal materials. Mainly by employing the three interrelated theories-the combination of computer informatization system and "the vendor managed inventory of traditional Chinese medicinal materials", " the zero inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials", and " the supply chain restructuring of traditional Chinese medicinal materials"-to manage the inventory of traditional Chinese medicinal materials. Under the premise of guaranteeing the normal operation of the outpatient department, the new inventory management method of Chinese medicinal materials after the reform is expected to increase the benefits of the inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials and reduce the storage cost of the inventory of traditional Chinese medicinal materials.Focusing on the actual situation of SH outpatient department, this text made deep analysis on the current the inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials situation of SH outpatient department and pointed out the weakness in SH out-patient administration generally reviewing successful inventory management cases of home and abroad and combining related theories on changes and inventory management in the new Hospital Accounting System and the requirements of the inventory management of traditional Chinese medical materials, and put forward effective measures to optimize ways of the inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials to illustrate the importance of perfecting the modes of the inventory management of traditional Chinese medicinal materials of SH outpatient department.
