Objective: To investigate the correlation between suicide attitude and self-acceptance of depression patients and impact of suicide attitude and self-acceptance of depression patients by comprehensive nursing intervention.Methods: We Selected 78 cases of patients with depression in some psychiatric hospitals in a province of China. were randomly divided into test group(n=40) and control group(n=38).The patients of control group was given the psychiatric routine nursing care only, and ones of study group was given additional comprehensive nursing intervention. The situation of depression, suicide attitude and self-acceptance were assessed with Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD), Suicide Attitude Questionnaire(QSA) and Self Acceptance Questionnaire(SAQ) respectively before and after 4 week nurse.Results:1Generally suicide attitudes of the depression patients were neutral.2The scores of attitude to suicidal families were significantly higher at 30 years old or less than 31 to 40 years old and 61 years old(P=0.044, 0.021), and the scores of attitude to euthanasia is significantly higher at 41 to 50 years old than 51 to 60 years old(P=0.016).3The scores of self-evaluation of the unemployed were significantly higher than that of students(P=0.040), so were high school higher than junior high school(P=0.040).4Multivariate regression analysis: there was no significant effect on suicide attitude and self-acceptance by gender, age, occupation, educational level, marriage, psychotic symptoms, and first attack(P>0.05).5There was positive correlation between the attitude to suicide behavior and attitude to suicide and euthanasia and self-evaluation(r=0.356, 0.361, 0.294, P<0.01), so was between self-evaluation and the attitude to suicide behavior, the attitude to suicide and the attitude to euthanasia respectively(r=0.294, 0.234, 0.282, P<0.01, P=0.039, P=0.012); the negative correlation between the attitude to suicide behavior and the attitude to suicide family and HAMD respectively(r=-0.489,-0.223; P<0.01, P=0.05), so was between self-evaluation and HAMD(r=-0.263, P=0.020).6 The scores of the attitude to suicide behavior, suicide and euthanasia higher after than before comprehensive nursing intervention significantly in study group(t=1.987, 2.433, 2.079; P=0.045, 0.032, 0.044), and so was higher than that in control group(t=1.984, 2.079, 2.986; P=0.048, 0.041, 0.015).7The level of self-evaluation was higher after than before comprehensive nursing intervention significantly in study group(t=0.183, P=2.183), and so was higher than the control group(t=2.986, P=2.986).Conclusions:1 There is a closely correlation between suicide attitude and selfacceptance.2 The attitude to suicide behavior, suicide and euthanasia tended to deny or oppose attitude after comprehensive nursing intervention.3 The level self-evaluation of depression patients has improved after than before comprehensive nursing intervention significantly.
