Development And Application Of Suicide Intervention Attitude Questionnaire

This paper studies what attitude the helpers should hold towards suicide intervention,which is beneficial to the work of suicide intervention.Research in the field of a pair of crisis intervention and suicide prevention expert interview,research by experts recommend method selected the 10 experts in the field of crisis intervention and suicide prevention,structured interviews,through content analysis of qualitative research methods to analyze the interview words,should get in the expert opinion,helpful to hold the attitude of the suicide intervention.According to content analysis,this attitude includes two aspects.One is that the helpers hold a reverence for life towards suicide and believe that suicide is a manifestation of mental health problems and a way to solve problems due to unbearable psychological pain.They should understand but disagree with suicide.The second is the attitude of the helpers towards suicide intervention.They believe that suicide can be intervened and prevented,believe that suicide intervention is valuable and effective,and realize the importance of relevant knowledge and skills.On the basis of this qualitative analysis conclusion,in combination with previous studies on suicide and suicide theory,Study 2 developed a suicide intervention attitude scale,which was used for helping people who might participate in suicide intervention work.Including college students psychological committee member,college counselors and reading psychology college undergraduate master’s doctoral student,college counseling centers in the psychological health education work of full-time teachers,college teachers,the psychological consultant,hospital psychiatric nurses,to measure their suicide intervention,intervention of suicide attitude questionnaire(after two times testing,Test,reliability and validity of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis,finally got a total of 28 questions in the questionnaire,contains two subscales,subscales is a helpful attitude towards suicide,consists of three dimensions,respectively is discrimination against suicide,attitude to life,the cognition of suicide,table 2 it is to help others who’s attitude toward suicide intervention,consists of three dimensions,The value of suicide intervention,avoidance of suicide discussion,and emotional isolation.The questionnaire has a total of 6 dimensions.The reliability and validity of the questionnaire meet the metrology standards.The scores of the questionnaire can effectively distinguish the novice helpers from the skilled helpers.
