GTF And PFNA In The Treatment Of Femoral Unstable Intertrochanteric Fractures Efficacy Comparison

Objective By retrospective analysis of clinical case-control study of greatertrochanter femoral stem (GTF) and proximal femoral prosthesis nail anti-rotation(PFNA) clinical efficacy in elderly unstable intertrochanteric fractures. For further studyamong elderly patients with unstable intertrochanteric fractures, expect reasonablesurgical treatment options and provide reference for clinical work.Method A case-control retrospective analysis, Ningxia People’s Hospital betweenJanuary2008between January2013to five years to take GTF and PFNA surgeryunstable intertrochanteric fractures of elderly patients with a total of79cases in whichthe use of prosthetic surgical cases GTF41cases selected using PFNA surgical cases38cases. Two groups of patients age, fracture type, medical complications statisticalanalysis no difference (P>0.05). All the patients were followed up for telephoneexchanges,8to12months to observe the operation time, blood loss, hospital stay, partof the load time, full load time, Harris score, complications, and comparative analysisof the two methods in treatment of unstable intertrochanteric fractures in elderlydifferences.Result PFNA operative time, blood loss compared with GTF prosthetic group hasan advantage (P <0.05); while GTF partial weight-bearing prosthetic group time, fullweight bearing time, a month Harris score, complication rates have an advantage overthe PFNA group(P <0.05); hospital stay between the two groups, three months, sixmonths, Harris score was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion PFNA and GTF prosthesis replacement between the rotor of thetreatment of senile femoral unstable fractures has achieved good curative effect.1. PFNA have certain advantages in the operation time, blood loss, is suitable forthe fracture type is stable, good condition, patients with bone is relatively good.Type2. GTF prosthesis part and full load time is short, the recent hip good functionalrecovery, less postoperative complications, more suitable for the fracture degree ofstability is poor, poor general condition, severe osteoporosis patients.
