Objective:(1) draft the Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients;(2) test the reliability and validity of the scale;(3) research cancer patients’acceptance and adherence to psychological treatment;(4) research the cancer patients’psychosomatic status and influencing factors.Methods:1. Developed entry pool of the Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients. Using scientific methods like reasoning method, empirical method and expert panel discussion method to prepare items of the scale.2. Put intio a survey questionnaire with the Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and a series of scales about the study of cancer patients. This questionnaire includes general information (name, gender, age, occuption, cultural degree, marital status, diagnosis, date of diagnosis, diagnose of the illness, treatment, filling date), Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients, Tumor Psychological Scale (TPS), Cancer Coping Modes Questionnaire (CCMQ), Psychological Adjustment Scale for Cancer Patients (PASCP), Magnanimous-Enterprising Questionnaire, Hospital Anxiety Depression (HAD) and Functional Living Index-Cancer (FLIC).3. Issued the survey questionnaire to cancer patients and benign tumor patients who were conformed to the criteria. There were450cancer patients and65benign tumor patients. 60cases were randomly selected from450patients with cancer patients in the completion of the first measurement, a second measurement in3weeks.4. Collected data into the Excel spreadsheet and used SPSS software for statistical analysis by item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. Tested the reliability and validity of the the Cancer Patients Psychosomatic Status Scale.5. Tumor psychological of the patient with cancer, psychological adjustment and cancer coping modes after having canner were analyzed. The relationship between the cancer patients’psychosomatic status and these factors were discussed.Results:1. After item analysis and exploratory factor analysis and other methods, some items of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients were deleted. Finally the scale includes four dimensions,16items. Respectively psychological dimensions were5, body dimensions were4, social function dimensions were4and psychological behavior plasticity dimension were3.2. Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients had good reliability and validity.(1) Reliability.①The homogeneity reliability:the Cronbach alpha coefficient of the scale scores and four dimensions scores were respectively0.780,0.766,0.575,0.578and0.527. Homogeneity reliability of the acale was good.②The split-half reliability:the split-half reliability is the correlation coefficient that entrys the scale into two parts by average and calculates the correlation coefficient of two entry score.Tt was0.793there.③The test-retest reliability:in the scale, means of four dimensions:psychological, physical, social function and psychological behavioral plasticity and score of the scale between two measurement correlation coefficient were0.717,0.634,0.553,0.519and0.528(P<0.01); Scored two branches paired sample T test, P values were0.609,0.735,0.475,0.735and0.475, all>0.05, no significant difference, two measurement results were consistent, retest reliability was good.(2) Validity. ①The content validity:the scale had a preliminary research and literature support for cancer patients, experienced professionals and patients were involved in the discussions, the revised draft. Its content reflected the psychosomatic characteristics of cancer patients, and filterring entries were carried out according to scientific and normative procedure. All of these, we think the scale had good content validity.②The structure validity:KMO value of this scale was0.802, Bartlett ball test Sig was0.000, the correlation matrix of variables had a significant difference. Principal component factor analysis, four principal components accounted for63.51%. The variance variance orthogonal rotation, the structure of the scale basic conformed to the theoretical framework. The scale had good structure validity.③The criterion validity:Life Function Index-Cancer was made as a criterion scale of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients. The correlation coefficient during tow means of the total score was-0.626(P<0.01). The correlation coefficient of psychological dimension, physical dimension and the social function dimension of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and psychological dimension, good body and good ability dimension, the social dimension of Life Function Index-Cancer was respectively-0.637,-0.528,-0.560(P<0.01), the scale had good validity.④The distinguish validity:average total score of patients with benign tumors and patients with cancer and average score of four dimensions were branched to do T test, P values<0.01, significant difference. The scale has good distinguish validity.3. The research about Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and factors affected it.(1) In the research about Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients, there were450cancer patients. The average score of the scale was51.58+/-9.04, and average of the psychological dimension was12.53+/-4.31points. The average of the body dimension was13.04+/-3.12points. The mean of social function dimensions was12.66+/-4.13points and the average of the psychological behavioral plasticity was13.36+/-3.03points. The mean of the male cancer patients scale total divide,"psychology","body" and "social function dimensions were lower than that of female cancer patients, and had significant difference (P<0.01).(2) Tumor Psychological Scale reflects the related psychological behavior of the cancer. Higher points, more obvious the tumor psychological is. The correlation coefficient between "psychological" dimension of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and "emotions" and "cognitive habits" of Tumor Psychological Scale was respectively0.564and0.547(P<0.01). They had significant positive correlation. The correlation coefficients between "Body","social function" and "plasticity" dimensions of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and the another dimension of Tumor Psychological Scale were all less than0.3, low correlation or no correlation.(3) The correlation coefficient between Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and Psychological Adjustment Scale for Cancer Patients was0.105, the degree of negative correlation. There was no obvious correlation between other dimensions of two scales.(4) Cancer Coping Modes Questionnaire is divided into five dimensions, and high point is used to explain the usually corresponding responses. The correlation coefficient between "psychological" dimension of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and "avoidance and suppression","fantasy" and "yield" dimension of Cancer Coping Modes Questionnaire was respectively0.324,0.477and0.381(P<0.01), positively correlated. The correlation coefficient between "body" dimension of Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and "fantasy","vent" of Cancer Coping Modes Questionnaire was respectively0.413and0.413,(P<0.01), positively correlated. The correlation coefficient between "social function" dimensions of the Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients and "avoidance behavior and suppression "of the Cancer Coping Modes Questionnaire was0.435. Other dimensions were low correlation or no correlation.(5) The correlation coefficient of scores between Psychosomatic Status Scale for Cancer Patients score and Magnanimous-Enterprising Questionnaire was0.754(P<0.01, N=450), with the quiet joy dimension, quiet balance dimension, tolerance dimension and the dimension of positive, the correlation coefficient was respectively0.664,0.508,0.532and0.664(P<0.01).During the psychological dimension of Psychosomatic Status Scale for function dimensions were lower than that of female cancer patients, and had significantdifference (P <0.01).(2) Tumor Psychological Scale reflects the related psychological behavior of the cancer.Higher points, more obvious the tumor psychological is.
