Infusion is an important medical treatment in hospital, in the process of infusion therapynurses need to choose the right infusion rate according to the medication and patient’scondition. With the widespread use of intravenous infusion, some problems are graduallyrevealed.Currently, the monitoring of infusion’s condition is controlled by medical staff in mosthospital, but infusion is a lengthy process, some problems are not timely handled because ofthe negligence of the medical staff. In order to solve the drawbacks of traditional infusionmethods, a intelligent infusion monitoring system is designed in this paper, which candecrease labor burden of the medical staff, promote the synthesis management of the wardand decrease medical accidents hidden trouble.The system’s main function is to inspect and to control transfusion speed automatically,nurses can use the button or PC software to set transfusion speed and control transfusionspeed through stepping motor automatically. When the infusion end, the system useslight-emitting diodes and buzzer to alarm and thus remind the medical staff.PC software canshow each patient’s transfusion condition in each ward, including the bed number, currenttransfusion speed, the speed set by PC and so on. This infusion monitoring system has stableperformance and comprehensive functions, it prominently increases the stability and theveracity about infusion monitoring, decreases the labor burden of the medical staff and isbeneficial to the synthesis management of the ward. This system will have a broad applicationprospect in the field of medical treatment.
