Compare The Clinical Value Of The Ultrasonic Diagnosis And X-ray Diagnosis In The Intussusception

Objective:This study aimed to compare the clinical value of the ultrasonic diagnosis and X-ray diagnosis in the intussusception.Methods:Retrospective cohort of patient age1months to64years presenting to The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University between October2008to October2013. Inclusion criteria were as follows:1.Intussusception clinical manifestations;2. both2-view AXR and US performed during the visit.3.Clinical data comprehensive and apply to the Criterion standard measures for intussusception were operative report.contrast enema or follow-up.then calculating specificity,sensitivity,misdiagnosis rate, rate of missed diagnosis, positive likelihood ratio,yord S index,coincidence rate, positive predictive value, negative predictive value. Estimating The reliability,facticity And profity Diagnositic test. Results:A total of95patients were included.53(55.8%) were male,42(44.2%) were female.Gold standard in a total of81patients diagnosed with intussusception,confirmed not to intussusception patients a total of14cases, including surgery in53cases diagnosed with intussusception, air enema21cases, follow-up (solution set on its own) in7cases.Abdominal plain film sensitivity was70.4%(95%confidence interval [CI],60.4%～80.3%), specificity was57.1%(95%CI,31.2%～83.1%).whereas abdominal ultrasound had sensitivity of95.1%(95%CI,90.3%～99.8%) and specificity of78.6%(95%CI,57.1%100%).Ultrasound had a greater negative predictive value (73%vs25%) and positive predictive value (96.3%vs90.5%),compared with AXR, AXR had more false positive rate (42.9%vs21.4%) and false negative rates (29.6%vs4.9%).Conclusion:Ultrasound in the diagnosis of intussusception with high sensitivity and specificity, and higher than abdominal X-ray.So Ultrasound in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of intussusception filter is better than abdominal X-ray, Ultrasound is best choice for the intussusception.
