Objective: To understand the occupational stress, sleep quality, and mental health status of petroleum workers. To measure the biochemical indicators, hormones, and cytokine levels of petroleum workers. To study the risk factors of occupational stress, sleep quality, and mental health. To explore the relationship between occupational stress, sleep quality, and mental health status, and the effects of occupational stress, sleep quality, and mental health on hormones and cytokine levels. Methods: Taking the petroleum workers who worked in an oilfield operation area in Xinjiang from 2017 to 2018 as the research object,a questionnaire survey was conducted on their occupational stress, sleep quality and mental health status,172 people were randomly selected to measure glucocorticoid(GC),Interleukin-2(IL-2),IL-6,IL-8,and tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)levels.Analyze the relationship between occupational stress, mental health and sleep quality, and explore the effects of occupational stress, sleep quality and mental health on hormones and cytokine levels. Results: 1.This survey issued 1,780 questionnaires and recovered 1,620 copies. The questionnaire recovery rate was 91%.2.The occupational stress scores of petroleum workers was higher than the domestic norm(P<0.05).The occupational stress scores of petroleum workers of different genders, types of work, working age,age and education were different(P<0.05).The distribution of petroleum workers of different genders, types of work and education were different in different occupational stress groups(P<0.05),among which the frequency of males in high occupational stress group was higher than that of females(P<0.05),the frequency of underground operations and drilling workers in the high occupational stress group was higher than that of other petroleum workers(P<0.05).The scores of PSQ and PRQ of petroleum workers were different among different occupational stress groups(P<0.05).PSQ scored higher in the high occupational stress group than the other two groups, and PRQ scored lower in the high occupational stress group than the other two groups.Multi-factor analysis found that PSQ score,PRQ score, gender, and education were the influencing factors of occupational stress score.3.The petroleum workers had different PSQI scores of different genders, types of work, shifts, age and education, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of sleep disorders among petroleum workers with different types of work, shifts, and education was different(P<0.05),the incidence of sleep disorders among petroleum workers with oil-delivery,shifting,and college education was higher. The PSQI total score and its sub-items(subjective sleep quality, sleep disturbance, and daytime dysfunction)scored differently in different occupational stress groups(P<0.05).The higher the occupational stress, the higher the PSQI score.Analysis of factors affecting sleep disorders found that age,PSQ score, shifts, types of work, and SCL-90 score were the influencing factors of sleep disorders.4.The petroleum workers SCL-90 score was higher than the domestic norm(P<0.05).There were differences in SCL-90 scores among petroleum workers of different genders and types of work(P<0.05).The incidence of mental disorder among petroleum workers of different genders and types of work was different(P<0.05),among them, men are higher than women, and petroleum workers working underground are higher than those of other workers.Among the different occupational stress groups, the scores of petroleum workers SCL-90 and its sub-items were different(P<0.05).The higher the occupational stress, the higher the SCL-90 score.Analysis of the influencing factors of mental disorder found that types of work,PSQ scores, and PSQI scores were the influencing factors of mental disorder.5.Analysis of the abnormal rate of biochemical indicators of petroleum workers found that there was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of biochemical indicators between different occupational stress group, sleep status group and psychological status group(P>0.05).6.There were differences in GC concentrations among petroleum workers of different genders, ages and marital status(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in GC concentration between different occupational stress groups(P<0.05).7.IL-2 concentration,IL-6 concentration,IL-8concentration and TNF-? concentration were different between different gender groups(P<0.05),IL-8 concentration was different between different working groups(P<0.05).IL-6 concentration and IL-8 concentration were different between different age groups(P<0.05),IL-8 concentration and TNF-? concentration were different between different education groups(P<0.05).IL-2 concentration,IL-6 concentration,IL-8 concentration and TNF-? concentration were different between different occupational stress groups(P<0.05).IL-6 concentration was different between different psychological status groups anddifferent sleep status groups(P<0.05).8.The direct effects of occupational stress on petroleum workers mental health, sleep quality, hormones and cytokines are significant. Conclusion: The occupational stress of petroleum workers is higher than the domestic norm, and the mental health status is lower than the domestic norm.Occupational stress has an impact on sleep quality and mental health.Individual stress response is a risk factor for sleep disorders and mental disorders.Occupational stress has an effect on GC concentration,IL-2 concentration,IL-6 concentration,IL-8 concentration, and TNF-?concentration.Sleep quality and mental health have an effect on IL-6 concentration. The direct effects of occupational stress on sleep quality, mental health, hormones and cytokines are significant.
