Two Lines Tension Relaxing Correction For Dviation Of Nasal Septum

OBJECTIVETo explore a new surgical method based on three lines tension relaxing correction for septalplasty, which named two lines tension relaxing correction, and its therapeutic effects for nasal septal deviation.METHODSThe clinical data of214patients who underwent endoscopic surgery for deviation of nasal septum with two lines tension relaxing correction during Jan,2011to Sep,2012were retrospectively studied. First cut a incision at the deviation side of the nasal septum under endoscopy, keep the cartilage,separated the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone, and the junction of vomer and maxilla at the nasal crest, this procedure was applied to correct diviation of nasal septum by releasing tension,which was named two lines tension relaxing correction.Evaluate the effection of nasal subjective symptom by using a visual analog scale (VAS).RESULTSFollow up was carried out for6months after endoscopic septoplasty surgery. The VAS score before and after surgery shows significant statistical significance(p<0.001).Patients with nasal subjective symptoms such as nasal congestion,headache, nasal bleeding disappeared or markedly improved.No Serious complications such as septal perforation,bridge collapse were encountered.CONCLUSIONSimplified the process of the surgery based on the three lines tension relaxing, the endoscopic surgery for deviation of nasal septum with two lines tension relaxing correction is an easy and efficient method, and is worthy of popularizing.
