The Clinical Research Of Biantongling Capsule In Patients With Slow Transit Constipation

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and mechanism of "Biantongling capsule "in slow transit constipation (STC) patients,for the purpose of providing evidence to Biantongling capsule in clinic treatment.Method:80patients with slow transit constipation who were diagnosed in the Wujiang City Chinese Medicine Hospital from September,2010to September,2012. were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,40cases in each group. The treatment group were taken Biantongling capsule orally for8weeks, the control group were taken Liuweianxiao capsule orally for8weeks. The improvements of clinical symptoms in both groups were observed before and after treatment respectively. and statistically analyzed, including total effective rate,effective stool frequency,stool property,a single time defecate,CTT,TCM symptom score,recurrence rate and toxicity.Results:(1)The total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group was92.5%and75.0%respectively, there are significantly different between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05);(2) The treatment group and the control group could effectively improve the symptoms of constipation with qi and blood deficiency, whose primary and secondary total scores and each individual symptom scores, but the treatment group was more effective than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the treatment group in the main symptoms such as defecation time interval, a single time defecation and fecal character and secondary symptoms such as bloating, decreasing food were more efficient than the control group (P<0.05);(3) the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in reducing colonic transit time (CTT)(P<0.05);(4) two groups of patients after two month effective follow-up and found that the recurrence rate were16.2%and36.7%, the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical outcome of "Biantongling capsule" is better than the "Liuweianxiao capsule" in the patients with slow transit constipation in defecation time interval、a single time defecation、fecal character and syndrome of traditional Chinese medicine.lt is a kind of effective,and good further promoting prospect.
