ObjectiveThis study aims to discuss the clinical effect of scrapping therapy for delayed menstruation based upon a controlled trail, which is to compare the curative difference between acupuncture therapy with or without scrapping therapy.MethodsIn this study,62clinical cases were collected from both GUCM students and acupuncture clinic, two of which are removed. Therefore, the total cases of60were divided equally into2groups——research group and control group (each of30). To be specific, research group was mainly focused on acupuncture with scrapping therapy. The control group therefore was treated only with acupuncture. Menstruation cycle and symptom score were compared between short term(3coursed of treatment)and long term(3months after all treatment) through the groups. To evaluate the effects, the results will be shown in scores to identify the severity of delayed menstruation. Short-term:after3courses of treatment. Long-term:3months after treatment.ResultsTo go deep into the analysis,3courses of treatment and random investigation continuously for3months right after treatment have been carried out. It is found that curative effect for acupuncture with scrapping is better than that without scrapping. The findings are based upon the comparison with two groups in general effect, menstruation conditions and accompanying symptoms. The difference in scores of two groups has significant statistical meaning(p<0.05).For mild patients with accompanying symptoms of delayed menstruation, the scores of both two groups in short-term and long-term effect have statistic difference (p<0.05), however, the difference is far from significance in statistical sense(p>0.05). For moderate patients, analysis shows that the treatment group is great better than the control group no matter in short-term and long-term treatment, even though both can improve body conditions (p<0.05). For those severely ill patients, the amount of samples in two groups is too little to have effective analysis. And the data shows that the treatment group is better than the control group in curative effect though both can help improve conditions in short and long term.ConclusionAcupuncture with scrapping therapy can be expanded use because it could help restore the abnormal menstrual cycle and improve disease conditions like delay menstruation.
