The Clinical Study On The Stage Therapy Of Atlantoaxial Subluxation By Manipulations Of Fine-adjusting Spine

Purpose: Acorrding to the problem of poor massage of therapying atlanto-axialsubluxation emphasising on restoration and high recurrence rate,the skillManipulations of Fine-Adjusting Spine priority, emcontrollability that phasizing theoverall treatment and stage treatment and combining with patients’ functional exerciseis proposed.The advantages of staging therapy is revealled by randomized controlledclinical efficacy studies.It provides safe and effective new program for massagetherapying atlanto-axial subluxation,in riching the general concept of content inmassage disciplines.Methods:60patients according with the diagnostic standard of Atlanto-axialSubluxation will be filed in experimental group and the control group each30randomly and single-blindly.With the period15days of treatment,the experimentalgroup use therapy stages:(1) The acute phase (1-5days): the massage on softorganization of neckand and Manipulations of Fine-Adjusting Spine to the uppercervical spine.(2) Remission (6-10days): the massage on soft organization ofneckand and Manipulations of Fine-Adjusting Spine to the upper cervical spine,thoracic and lumbar (3)Recovery (11-15days): the massage on soft organization ofneckand and Functional exercise by ourselves. The control group use the massage onsoft organization of neckand and Method of atlanto-axial end to turn.Observing twogroups treatment score before and after,through telephone follow-up survey the recurrence rate during3months, the data statistically analyzed verifies the advantagesof staging treatment method.Results:1.Comparing the items of two groups:after treatment,they are significantdifferent (P <0.05) on score of symptoms, signs, work and life skills, the total effect,the pain scale,difference of odontoid lateral clearanc. The scores of the two groupswere both improved, and were significant different (P <0.05) after treament.Thescores of the experimental group were superior than the control group.2.Rate of improvement after treament: there were excellent in10cases, good in18cases, mediem in1,1poor, in the experimental group,accounted for96.66%of thefine; there were excellent one case, good in10cases,17cases and poor in2cases inthe control group, accounted for93.33%.The rate of improvement after treatmentbeteen two groups was a significant difference (P <0.05).The experimental groupwere superior than the control group.3. Follow-up situation: after the end of treatment, there were a telephone follow-up oftwo groups’ patients lasting three months.The recurrence rate of3.33%in theexperimental group and control group recurrence rate was23.33%. There was asignificant difference (P <0.05) compared to the experimental group and the controlgroup:the recurrence rate in the experimental group lower than the control group.Conclusion: The group on the stage therapy of Atlantoaxial Subluxation byManipulations of Fine-Adjusting Spine, in efficacy scores, rate of improvement aftertreatment, pain scale scores, reducing to difference of odontoid lateral clearanc, rate ofrecurrence, is superior to conventional control group.It illustrates that the stagetherapy of Atlantoaxial Subluxation by Manipulations of Fine-Adjusting Spine is ascientific progarm in effective treatment, significantly reducing rate of recurrence ofatlanto-axial subluxation.It is worthy of clinical application.
