ObjectiveThe research adopts injection needle scalpel for the surface reflection points of neck and upper chest’s sympathetic ganglion treatment of cervical vertigo. This topic making the surface reflection of superior cervical ganglion in encephalopathy treatment area, treatment as control group, takes a prospective randomized control study, to evaluate the different parts of the sympathetic ganglia surface reflection point clinical efficacy of injection needle scalpel treatment of cervical vertigo, and investigate the neck and upper chest sympathetic ganglia dysfunction in cervical vertigo mechanism of action. Then we also investigate the efficacy, safety and mechanism of injection needle scalpel treatment of cervical vertigo. We hope to find better methods of treatment of cervical vertigo, and push forward its wide use in clinical practice.MethodsAccording to the inclusion criteria of cervical vertigo, we select ninety cases who have been diagnosed as cervical vertigo in orthopedic outpatients department in Guangdong hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. According to the treatment time, they are randomly separated into three groups:Group A is treated encephalopathy treatment area that shot in the superior cervical ganglion surface point, group Bis the treatment of encephalopathy treatment area and sympathetic balance area that shot in the cervical sympathetic ganglion surface reflection point, group C is the treatment of encephalopathy treatment area sympathetic balance area and cardiac treatment area on the chest that shot in the cervical and upper thoracic sympathetic ganglion surface reflection point. And injection needle scalpel for different parts of cervical and thoracic sympathetic ganglion surface reflection point treatment. Each patient was given only one treatment. By monitoring the patients before and after the treatment,(With time nodes including:before the treatment, the first day after the treatment, one month and six months follow-up), we take a efficacy evaluation of all those three groups of patients’signs and symptoms, daily life and work, psychological and social adaptation rating. According to the assessment standard of the efficacy of vertigo treatment proposed by 《TCM Syndrome Diagnostic efficacy of the standard》, the efficiency evaluation is as follows:Fully cured:vertigo and associated symptoms and signs disappeared, and patients return to normal life. Effective:dizziness disappeared while occasional transient dizziness happens when turning the neck, and the associated symptoms and signs were relieved, which however do not affect their daily lives. Improved:the number and extent of vertigo reduced, while still accompanied by the unchanged symptoms and signs, slightly impact the patients’daily lives. Invalid:no significant changes before and after the treatment. We have established a database of score results using the SPSS17.0software, which leads to a conclusion.Results1、After the treatment the first day, one month and six months later, all three groups of patients are showing symptoms relieved and function scores improved significantly than before with P<0.01. The differences are of significance in statistics science. After the treatment one month and six months later, all three groups of patients are showing symptoms relieved and function have further improved, than before with P<0.01.2、The first day after the treatment, we compared three groups of patients with vertigo symptoms and functional score, we found that there lies a better improvement in group B and group C than in group A, the differences are of significance in statistics science (P<0.01). But comparing group B with group C, it has no statistical difference for the stable figures (P>0.05). After the treatment of six months, the overall effect of the three groups has small difference, with P>0.05, which was not statistically significant. That instructons after the treatment of six months, the overall efficacy of three groups have no difference.3、After the treatment the first day, one month and six months, three groups of patients who have symptoms of palpitations are relieved greatly comparing those before treatment (P<0.01). The differences are significant in statistics science. Except for the first day after treatment group A flustered palpitations scpre than before treatment P>0.05. The first day after the treatment, the most obvious improvement in group C was much better than in group B and group A(P<0.01). Group B comparing with group A shows a much more significant improvement (P<0.05).One months and six months after the treatment, comparing between the three group, all P>0.05, the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion1、Injection needle scalpel for different parts of cervical and thoracic sympathetic ganglion surface reflection point treatment of cervical vertigo, can effectively relieve symptoms of patients, improve the patient’s mental state, improve the quality of life for patients.2、Injection needle scalpel simultaneous treatment for all the surface reflection point of cervical and thoracic sympathetic ganglion treatment of cervical vertigo, the recent improvement of symptoms and functional is more obvious, it is better than the short-term effect on the surface reflection point of the cervical sympathetic ganglion or simply superior cervical ganglion treatment.3、For those cervical vertigo patients who have symptoms of palpitation, Injection needle scalpel treatment can quickly improve or eliminate symptoms by selecting heart disease treatment area treated.4、Injection needle scalpel for the surface reflection point of sympathetic treatment of cervical vertigo, is an effective, simple, safe and reliable treatment.
