Diabetes is not totally the same as Xiao Ke, and belongs to it. It has been written in book of Huangdi Neijing200years BC.Terms from Visceral theory, among the five Zang-viscera, it often attacks kidney、lung、liver, spleen less, but not heart; among the six Fu-viscera, it only attack the stomach, not others. So it does in treating Xiao Ke using. Throughout ancient and modern literature, most took medications as the basic therapy and then combine acupuncture. Most drug used in treating Xiao Ke are working through regulating the function of the kidney、lung、stomach、or liver and spleen. However, acupoints selection and specific operations always varies from different patients. So it is hard to repeat mechanically in clinical actions. This essay aims to study the laws of acupoints selection in treating Xiao Ke and finally discover that the Bladder Meridian is used most frequently, then comes the Stomach Meridian、Spleen Meridian thirdly. Yet the most common acupoint does not come from the Bladder Meridian, it is ZuSanLi belonging to the Stomach Meridian, and SanYinJiao belonging to the Spleen Meridian comes next, third ShenShu coming from the Bladder Meridian. It would be a strong evidence for scientific and clinical research.ObjectiveThrough studying the clinical literature on acupuncture treatment of Diabetes published in national journals during the past decade, try to found the law of acupoints selection from analyzing the characteristic of the relevant points from different angles including the original meridian^acupuncture properties and anatomical distribution perspective, finally obtain the most common use of acupuncture points and meridians, in order to guide clinical operation and improve clinical efficacy and work efficiency.MethodMaking full use of literature search engine and computer network database and a variety of journals, collect relevant literature strictly accordance with the keywords and literature search term, and then screen effective literature according to the inclusion criteria. Next classify the points selected in those literature and create a database basing on the points’ original meridian、acupuncture properties and anatomical distribution perspective, then analyze it use SPSS13.0in which individual data using frequency analysis, finally summarized the law governing the use of points.ResultFrom VIP Chinese biomedical journals, taking acupuncture, diabetes, Xiao Ke as keywords, finally collect121valid literature meeting the inclusion criteria. Acupuncture treatment methods involve ordinary acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, warm acupuncture, ear, etc. It cover totally14meridians including the twelve meridians and Ren、Du meridian, among which the Bladder Meridian is most frequently used, followed by the Stomach meridian and the Spleen Merdian; it involves146points, a total of1267points times, most are specified acupoints, in which Zusanli is the most commonly used, followed Sanyinjiao and Shenshu.ConclusionTreating Xiao Ke using Acupuncture also insists Syndrome differentiating、 differentiating combined identifying diseases, just the same as using herbs. The most difference is that treating Xiao Ke using acupuncture involves more viscera organs than using herbs, and paying more attention to regulating the Bladder Meridian.
